Service Manager, Morten motivates his team through mutual respect

Morten is a G4S Denmark Service Manager who works in Central and Northern Jutland.

He believes focusing on the wellbeing of colleagues is as important as the service provided to customers and works to ensure that everything runs as smoothly for customers as employees.

As a manager, Morten prioritises being present for his teams. He knows all team members by name, makes sure he always greets them with a smile, and actively participates in collaborating with them where possible. For him, management is not about control, but about creating trust and interaction across the team.

He said: "I don't lead with a heavy hand, I lead with confidence. That's always been my approach, and it works."

As a service manager, Morten is responsible for planning, coordinating and quality-assuring the security solutions. His management style is characterised by his focus on the individual members of his teams and his ability to motivate through mutual respect.

Morten believes that well-being creates results, and he tells us this is one of the reasons why his team takes care of their tasks with great dedication and professionalism.

He said: "My job is to ensure that my people are doing well, both professionally and personally. If they are doing well, the tasks are doing well too."
