From CCTV Operator to HR Director

Carlos's G4S Beginnings

Carlos Vidal Sanchez joined G4S Colombia in March 2011 as a CCTV Operator in the North-Western region. His background in Business Administration and a diploma in Human Management provided a solid foundation. He was drawn to G4S by the opportunity to work in the security sector. Initial challenges included adapting to the demands of security monitoring and mastering the technical aspects of CCTV operation. His first projects involved surveillance and security for clients in the North-Western region. Early mentors within G4S guided his development and helped him navigate the company culture. Carlos's early career goals focused on gaining experience and progressing within the company. He quickly demonstrated his capabilities, leading to involvement in larger projects and promotions. His strong performance and dedication laid the groundwork for his future leadership roles. He embraced the opportunity to learn and grow within the dynamic security environment. His commitment to excellence and client satisfaction quickly became evident. He actively sought opportunities to expand his knowledge and contribute to the team's success. His initial role provided valuable experience and insights into the security industry.

Leading HR for G4S Colombia

Carlos's career progressed rapidly, culminating in his promotion to Director of Human Resources Management in Barranquilla in October 2022. He previously held the position of Head of Regional Operations Santander. His achievements include successfully managing multiple zones and clients, demonstrating strong operational leadership. He developed expertise in client relationship management and operational efficiency. His impact on G4S Colombia is evident in his contributions to client retention and growth, particularly in the eastern region. He received recognition for his quick learning, excellent client relationships, and exemplary leadership. His current responsibilities include overseeing all HR processes for approximately 1,400 employees in the northern region. He is responsible for driving operational service excellence, employee retention, development, and well-being. He also leads Health and Safety strategies, aiming to achieve the company's zero-harm objective. His future aspirations include further developing his leadership skills within HR and contributing to G4S's strategic growth in Colombia. He aims to foster a positive and productive work environment for all employees.
