Salary: £34,000 per annum

Working Hours: Permanent, Full Time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 8:30am and 17:30pm

Location: Hellesdon Hospital, Norwich, NR6 5BE (with travel to associated trust sites)



At G4S Facilities Management, we deliver critical support services that keep healthcare environments running safely and efficiently. We are looking for an Operations Manager to take operational and commercial oversight of our soft FM portfolio (cleaning and catering) across the Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust. Working closely with site supervisors and Trust managers, you will ensure seamless daily service delivery, strict safety standards, and effective budget control.



Core Responsibilities will include:

  • Operational Leadership: Oversee daily cleaning and catering operations across designated Trust sites, ensuring high standards, contractual compliance, and ISO 9001 quality assurance.

  • Team Governance: Line-manage a team of operational supervisors, providing guidance, performance management, and professional development.

  • Client & Stakeholder Relations: Build strong, collaborative relationships with Trust representatives and NHS management teams to resolve operational issues quickly.

  • Financial & Resource Control: Delegate and monitor locality budgets for labour and consumables, driving cost efficiency while maintaining service quality.

  • Safety & Compliance: Maintain a robust Health & Safety culture across all sites in line with statutory guidelines, COSHH, and Trust policies.



To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate:

  • Proven experience managing staff and services within a complex NHS environment. A background in managing multi-site facilities management or operational service contracts (healthcare or public sector experience is ideal).

  • Strong commercial awareness with a clear understanding of budgetary ownership and a drive to achieve positive financial outcomes

  • Exceptional ability to motivate and organise teams effectively to meet operational objectives

  • Maintains a flexible and adaptable approach to work, able to navigate changing priorities

  • Proven track record of working openly and collaboratively with staff and stakeholders at all organisational levels

  • Full driving licence
