Job Introduction:

G4S Secure Solutions (SA), a leading provider of integrated security management solutions, has a vacancy for a Quality Assurance & Control Manager: ESS based at our Head Office in Centurion, reporting to the National Operations Manager.

The successful incumbent is a self-starter with a proven track record in maintaining company policy, adopting best practices, and is able to exercise sound judgement in the pursuit of the achievement of the goals of the organisation, and understanding the role which Quality Assurance & Control Manager: ESS plays within a successful business unit. The incumbent will be expected to be results driven and to live the values of the organisation.

Role Responsibility:

Effective Management of Quality Assurance & Quality Control

  • Develop, implement and maintain QA/QC programs and procedures
  • Conduct quality audits and inspections
  • Analyse and interpret QA/QC data
  • Identify and investigate project quality queries
  • Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions
  • Represent the company on QA/QC matters to customers and other stakeholder

Quality Assurance & Quality Control Administration

  • Collate, implement and manage all required QA/QC documentation
  • Compile daily/weekly/ monthly/ quarterly QA/QC reports to be presented to the customers & National Operations Manager
  • Preparation of a summary report on findings together with the recommendations for submission

Quality Control of Project Financial Performance

  • QA/QC and oversight of invoice documentation and accuracy of information
  • Reviewing profitability of projects, maintenance contracts, sustainability, cost effectiveness and labour.
  • Manage the QA/QC budget

QA/QC Operations Support

  • Managing the Maintenance/Project process flow and activities that has a direct/indirect impact on the outcome and success of contract
  • Client retention and customer service levels
  • Ensuring that all required formal customer meetings are scheduled, attended and minuted.
  • Maintenance of positive customer relationships
  • Quality Management/Ops Process management – adherence to quality standards
  • Conduct and oversee quality controls and inspections (Including sub contractors )
  • Implementation of Shared Best Practice on all sites

Health and Safety

  • Reinforces Safety, Health, Environment and Quality awareness
  • Maintaining a safe and secure work environment by correcting unsafe acts/conditions, looking out for hazards, and investigating accidents
  • Ensuring policies and procedures, job safety analysis, and standard operating procedures are adhered to
  • Participate in the design/ development/ review/ implementation and monitoring of the departmental safety plans for allocated projects
  • Participate in safety forums created by the company for example safety meetings and safety talks
  • Report all safety incidents to the relevant people.
  • Discuss all safety incidents.
  • Follow-up on any activities assigned through safety meetings / committee / representative / management.
  • Attend safety education and refresher programs.
  • Comply with safety policies and procedures at the workplace.
  • Distribute safety information as and when required


The Ideal Candidate:

Qualification and Experience

  • Grade 12
  • A valid Driver's License
  • Minimum 3 - 5 years experience in a similar role
  • A tertiary qualification in Quality Assurance and Quality Control or equivalent will be advantageous
  • Knowledge of relevant Legislations, Health and Safety legislation, Security Regulations, Quality Standards & Investigations.
  • QA/QC techniques, risk assessment, fault finding methodologies for electronic security systems implementing change
  • Knowledge of IT network infrastructure
  • Certification of Access Control, CCTV and Intrusion Systems. (e.g Impro, Gallagher, Milestone, Avigilon, etc)
  • Experience with ISO standards
  • Experience with other Quality Management Systems (QMS) and tools
