We are looking to grow our existing Security team at this prestigious site in Cheltenham, and have a vacancy for a Security Officer, working 42hrs per week. 

As a Security Officer on this contract, you will be more than a Security Guard. You will be a part of the G4S Facilities Management team providing a full and comprehensive delivery of services to our high-profile client. These roles require individuals to be able to undertake a rotating shift pattern, working 2 days, 2 nights 4 off, 12 hour shifts, 06:00 - 18:00, 18:00 - 06:00 (average of 42 hours per week).



  • Patrol the interior and exterior of buildings and perimeter.

  • Control access to site and designated buildings for authorised personnel.

  • To detect and if possible prevent unauthorised entry to sites/buildings.

  • To screen all visitors to the site.

  • To search contractor vehicles before entry to site.

  • To carry out random access/exit searches of members of staff and staff vehicles.

  • To where necessary deal with suspect postal packages and suspicious objects in accordance with agreed procedures.

  • To monitor the effectiveness of the end of day security measures in workspaces.

  • To monitor CCTV, alarms and access control systems as required.

The Ideal Candidate:


  • Good Communication Skills.

  • A basic understanding of IT.

  • A customer focused approach.


A current SIA Licence is desirable, however necessary training can be provided.
