Salary: £32,712 - £34,348  per annum, £150.00p/w Call out Fee

Working Hours: Permanent, Full time, 40 hours a week

Location: Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, Oxford, OX3 7LD

 

About the role

We are looking to recruit a Fabric Technician to join our friendly team to ensure site fabric services are to a high standard within our Health contract based at Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre. This is a full time position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday working various shifts between 7am and 7pm.

 

Responsibilities

  • Attend regular M&E meetings with the Hard FM Manager and senior maintenance technician as required.

  • To carry out building fabric duties throughout Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre.

  • To prioritise and handle all demand work orders received from the facilities helpdesk, ensuring that all reactive tasks are actioned/completed within the agreed timescales.

  • To assist in obtaining costs for additional works and materials wherever possible using approved G4S specialist subcontractors and suppliers.

  • A full compliance with all current and pending health & safety legislation on site at all times.

  • The job holder may be required to carry out any other duties as deemed appropriate by the Engineering Manager and senior maintenance technician.


The Ideal Candidate:

Essential

  • Recognised trade apprenticeship in building fabric construction / maintenance.

  • Minimum of 3 years post apprenticeship experience of building and facilities maintenance. 

  • Good communication skills

  • IT literate

  • Customer focused approach

  • Able to work on own initiative
