What is “Electronic Monitoring”?

Electronic Monitoring is the use of Radio Frequency technology to monitor an individual's compliance with an order imposed upon them by an issuing authority such as a Sheriff Court.
Individuals who are subject to Electronic Monitor will wear a monitoring device commonly referred to as a “Tag” and have a further monitoring device installed within their premises.
G4S, an allied universal company, is the Electronic Monitoring Service Provider for Scotland. G4S instals the equipment, monitors individual’s compliance and reports any non-compliance to the relevant authority.

 

What does the role entail?

​​​​​​We have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Administrator to join our team. The role is permanent,  full time with a fixed day shift pattern Monday to Friday. Exact hours to be agreed with offer of employment.  Based at Duart House, Bellshill, Scotland ML4 3PR.  The role is to deliver high quality, professional administrative support to the electronic monitoring Operations in line with the policies and procedures as agreed with the Scottish Government. In return, you will receive a salary of £27,656.65 per annum based on full time 40 hrs, 28 days holiday, entry into a contributory pension scheme and free parking.

 

Key Responsibilites/Accountabilites 

  • Provide general clerical and administrative support so that the needs of the functional/departmental team are met
  • Maintain effective work systems, ensuring that all correspondence, inquiries, queries and documentation is dealt with in a professional manner that meets requirements.
  • Organise and coordinate meetings, accommodation, venues, room, car hire, refreshment  and travel bookings
  • Maintain comprehensive stocks of all consumables, forms and documentation required by the operation/department so that it is available when required, including purchase ordering, invoice processing and payments
  • Assist in the collation of information and produce reports in line with visual standards, to meet company and contractual requirements including hours, leave , and all payments associated for payroll purposes
  • Process and collate statistics through spread-sheets and databases to meet company deadlines.
  • Support recruitment drives including vetting applicants to ensure all requirements are met 
  • Provide clerical support including, minute taking, photocopying, and other tasks supported by Google office systems 
  • Provide in house support to HR shared services in relation to new contracts  or changes to contracts that require administrative duties. 
  • Act in accordance with security and operational instructions at all times to ensure the maintenance of security within the secure environment

Skills & Knowledge (Essential)

  • Experience of working quickly and accurately with a high level of attention to detail

  • Discretion and working on own initiative to deliver objectives

 

Skills & Knowledge (Desirable)

  • Experience of providing admin support 
  • Understanding of  HR and payroll practices 
     

Please note, this role does not qualify for a visa under the current Government guidelines therefore to be considered for this role you must already have the right to work in the UK. Re-location costs will not be granted. You must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the National Monitoring Centre in Bellshill.
