What is “Electronic Monitoring”?
Electronic Monitoring is the use of Radio Frequency technology to monitor an individual's compliance with an order imposed upon them by an issuing authority such as a Sheriff Court.
Individuals who are subject to Electronic Monitor will wear a monitoring device commonly referred to as a “Tag” and have a further monitoring device installed within their premises.
G4S, an allied universal company, is the Electronic Monitoring Service Provider for Scotland. G4S instals the equipment, monitors individual’s compliance and reports any non-compliance to the relevant authority.  


What does the role entail? 
The role involves the installation, investigation, and decommissioning of electronic monitoring equipment. Field Officer’s will meet a wide range of people whilst carrying out their duties as the installation takes place in the clients home. Field Officer’s work to a shift pattern consisting of 4 working days followed by 4 rests days. Due to the nature of our business, we must visit our clients during their curfew period. As a result the role is primarily backshift 17:00-00:30 hrs with working days to be decided on a rota basis. Weekends will be included. We offer a competitive salary of £19,495.22pa, £14.38 per hour on 26 hours per week contract as well as a company pension scheme, life assurance, paid holiday, staff discounts including Perks at Work. successful, you will be given access to a pool car during your shift time that will enable you to complete your assigned tasks for the evening, you will also be provided with a fuel card, mobile phone and tablet. A full driving licence is essential for the role and an ongoing programme of training and development will be provided. The contract G4S holds with the Scottish Government covers the whole of Scotland including the islands. Although the role is predominantly based across the central belt you may be required to travel to any area of Scotland that you can reasonably get to and from within a shift.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
Responsible for the installation, investigation of alerts and decommissioning of curfew orders within your designated area and  in accordance with Company Procedures and terms of the contract.
Support and advise persons during their period of curfew.
Report incidents /non compliance to the appropriate agencies.
Process incidents / violations within agreed timescales to meet SLA’s.
Escalate reportable incidents to the Monitoring Centre and as per agreed procedures.
Build and maintain excellent working relationships with both internal and external customers through the application of the principles of pro-social modelling.
Maintain, uphold and demonstrate values and protect the company brand.
Document all contact with our customers both internal and external.

Please note, this role does not qualify for a visa under the current Government guidelines therefore to be considered for this role you must already have the right to work in the UK. Re-location costs will not be granted. You must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the National Monitoring Centre in Bellshill.
