Our Company is currently looking to hire Credit Controllers who are passionate and dedicated to delivering excellent customer service, on a part time basis of 32 hours per week. You will be based at the Finance Shared Service Centre (FSSC) in Worksop as a crucial member of our team. Your main responsibility as a Credit Controller is to manage and collect outstanding debts from our customers while maintaining a positive relationship with them. This role involves providing timely and accurate information to customers regarding their accounts, identifying and escalating risks to cash flow for timely resolution, and ensuring that all collections activities comply with company policies and guidelines.

As a Credit Controller, it is crucial to have excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset. You should establish and sustain positive relationships with customers, regardless of their status within or outside the organisation, to promote the FSSC effectively. Part time working hours will be within Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm, but actual hours to be agreed with the Line Manager. The role is primarily based out of our Worksop office, with some flexibility for home working.  You must live within reasonable commuting distance of the site.

Role Responsibility:

A Credit Controller's Main responsibilities:

  • Chase customer payments in line with G4S payment terms to minimise bad debt.
  • Ensure all requests are completed and successfully resolved within the agreed service level.
  • Look for process improvement opportunities for Finance Shared Service Centre (FSSC) service delivery.
  • Work to daily outbound phone targets set by the team leader.
  • Work to individual and Business Unit Overdue Debt reduction targets and Cash Collection.
  • Work on customer disputes to help minimise outstanding debt and escalate to the appropriate Business owners.
  • Creating and categorising outbound service requests.


The Ideal Candidate:

Ideal Candidate

For the role of Credit Controller, the ideal candidate should have knowledge of credit control policies and procedures and previous credit control experience. Graduates with the relevant working experience and the required skills will be considered for the role.

Experience and essential proven skills

  • Previous experience in a credit control role or customer service role within the finance industry.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering outstanding customer service in a high-volume, target driven customer service or finance department.
  • Experience with query resolution.
  • Highly organised and capable of efficiently managing your workload, with experience managing multiple customer accounts.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong numeracy and literacy skills.

Desirable

  • Prior experience working in a similar role.
  • A working knowledge of SAP and other Finance systems such as Oracle, Exchequer, Navision.

The successful candidate will be required to provide original documentation for detailed screening and vetting processes. These documents may include your passport, driver’s license, utility bill (dated in the last 3 months), HMRC letter, an original bank statement, an original payslip, your birth certificate, or a valid share code.
