What is “Electronic Monitoring”?
-   Electronic Monitoring is the use of Radio Frequency technology to monitor an individual's
compliance with an order imposed upon them by an issuing authority such as a Sheriff Court.
-   Individuals who are subject to Electronic Monitor will wear a monitoring device commonly
referred to as a “Tag” and have a further monitoring device installed within their premises.
-   G4S, an allied universal company, is the Electronic Monitoring Service Provider for Scotland.
G4S install the equipment, monitors individual’s compliance and reports any non-compliance
to the relevant authority.

 

What does the role entail:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Control Room Operator to join our team. The role is permanent and full time, shift working, based at Duart House, Bellshill, Scotland ML4 3PR.  The role is to deliver high quality, professional monitoring and field service in accordance with the policies and procedures as agreed with the Scottish Government. In return, you will receive a salary of £22,549.06 per annum full time 38 hrs (£11.41 per hr), 28 days holiday, entry into a contributory pension scheme and free parking.

Role Responsibility:

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities for the Control Room Operator are:

-   Point of contact for Monitored Person’s who are subject to Electronic Monitoring
-   Monitoring Compliance of Monitored Person’s and reporting any incidents of
non-compliance to the appropriate agency
-   Liaising with various partner agencies such as Justice Social Work, Police Scotland, Hospitals
and the Scottish Prison Service
-   Use of google drive, google sheets and information management software to document
actions and produce reports
-   Making outbound calls to Monitored Person’s and Partner Agencies as well as receiving
Incoming Calls
