Job Introduction:

As a Director of Security, you will be responsible for all security operations within the facility, including overseeing on-the-job training, fostering positive relationships with building tenants, analyzing incident data for the building, preparing weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports, assisting client management with special events, maintaining client specific contact information and post orders.

Role Responsibility:

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

 

  • Primary liaison between company  and client senior management
  • General Operations management; review post orders and make recommendations to corporate security when updates should be considered; review daily log reports and provides pass downs as required; responsible for officers meeting company standards pertaining to quality of work performed on an ongoing basis, performing all work related tasks in a manner that is in compliance with all company policies and procedures including worldwide business standards
  • General Human Resources management; including selection and placement, performance reviews, attendance management, conflict resolution; scheduling, and payroll
  • Provide supervision to shift supervisors and security officers
  • Coordinate and oversee staffing, scheduling, and on-site training for security officers
  • Ensure quality of service and contract compliance by regularly inspecting the post and facility assigned to
  • Promote and enforce safety measures
  • Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by the post
  • Provide assistance to customers, employees and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
  • Conduct performance appraisals and implement and/or recommend progressive disciplinary actions
  • Perform payroll functions and prepare and review client required reporting
  • Administer G4S Safety Program; semi-annually review and revise the security Emergency Response plan

 


The Ideal Candidate:

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Pass any state-required training or other qualifications for licensing
  • Pass a State licensing test if driving a company-owned or client-provided vehicle

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • A minimum of four (4) years of prior documented management/supervisory experience in a safety, security, law enforcement, or military environment
  • Work history to include demonstrated knowledge of security and safety inspections and electronic security systems

  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Active listening skills
  • Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively
  • Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately
  • Attention to detail

Other

  • Must be at least 18 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higher
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
  • Must be able to work flexible schedules
  • Must have access to reliable transportation
  • Must be able to work flexible schedules
  • Must be able to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors
  • Must have demonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public
  • Must submit to an extensive background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verifications, and Department of Motor Vehicle and credit checks if applicable
  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military

Physical Requirements and Environment

Environment:         Office complex; indoor, minimal to no exposure to extreme temperatures is expected

Major activity:        Working on PC and using telephone walking client site

Physical efforts to carry out job duties:  Significant, to include standing, bending, maneuvering up to 10 pounds, and stretching/ reaching.
