As a G4S Coin Processing Supervisor in the Coin Processing team, you will be at the very heart of our operation. Your primary responsibility will be to manage the front line employees within the warehouse environment, as well as handling coin bags and driving a forklift. You will need to be confident working to stringent procedures designed to ensure that our service remains superior, and that our customer requirements are met with optimum efficiency.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
The Role
You will join a team of specialist Coin Processors and be responsible for the direct supervision of Coin Store Operatives, ensuring the day to day objectives within the coin store are upheld. You will also be responsible for adherence to the audit requirements and the correction of any failures/shortfalls.
Our Coin Processing Supervisor must manage staff and allocate work, to maintain the highest level of customer care, be aware of and work within authority limits, ensure that all relevant legislative and Company procedures and standards (Health and Safety, Security) are adhered to. You’ll also:
- Undertake training of Coin Store Operatives where necessary and identify any training requirements to line manager.
- Conducting daily staff work briefings with enthusiasm.
- Achieving service levels and production targets are achieved
- Dealing with customer telephone queries
- Forklift duty as required
- Undertake other duties that may reasonably be assigned to you by your line manager or the business.
Person Specification
So what makes a successful Coin Processing Supervisor (Coin Store Supervisor)?
To succeed as a G4S Coin Processing Supervisor, you will need to be confident when communicating with customers and colleagues in both written and spoken English. An appropriate level of numeracy is also very important, and you will be adept following specific procedures and instructions and be able to work to tight deadlines. We ideally seek:
- Previous experience working in a cashier/coin handling role or warehouse style environment and a working knowledge of cash processes and equipment, would be extremely beneficial but is not essential. As would supervisory experience or demonstrable leadership qualities and using IT and computer systems.
- You must be continuously focused on providing a top notch service to our customers by being efficient, flexible and at all times security conscious.
- You will need the ability to motivate and influence others, you will also need to be competent in training others.

- You’ll need to have a good organisational understanding and the ability to work to deadlines, with good attention to detail.
