Salary : £30,333.48 per annum

Permanent, Full-Time (40 hours per week)

At Oakhill Secure Training Centre we look after young people aged 12 to 18 years old who have been remanded or sentenced to periods of detention. The vulnerable young people in our care can be challenging with a wide range of social and emotional complex needs. This is an environment that calls for high standards of social care and service delivery to provide a secure and stable environment for young people to develop their life skills and address the behaviours that have led them into custody. 

 

Oakhill Secure Training Centre works closely with the Youth Custody Services to ensure that its regimes and designs reflect best practice in residential care to prevent offending.

 

We are looking to recruit an Audit and Compliance Assistant who will be responsible for leading on the centre’s compliance framework and liaising with departments in relation to contractual compliance, they will also oversee the centre’s complaints process ensuring contractual timescales are adhered to.

 

Key Responsibilities;

 

  • Collect and collate information provided weekly in departmental compliance books and lead on the Centre Compliance Framework.
  • In line with the compliance framework, conduct dip tests to ensure efficiency and assurance. 
  • Where required, provide daily, weekly and monthly data to inform updates of performance to senior managers through monitoring of compliance.
  • Oversee the entire complaints process, including collecting, processing and organising complaints submitted and allocate them according to the nature of the complaint.
  • Deliver training to the Initial Training Course
  • Responsible for the monthly submission of the Complaints data to the Authority.
  • Store and collate information regarding complaints and provide a detailed monthly report for the Head of Support Services and other reports that are required by the organisation such as Key Performance indicators and targets. 
  • Collate and meet strict deadlines, to deliver data and reports for:
    • Monthly G4S Performance Reviews
    • Monthly Director & Monitor Meetings</li>
    • Quarterly Contract Review Meeting with the Youth Custody Service
  • Support with any general administrative tasks as directed by the Quality Assurance Manager, or other managers within the team.
  • Assist in the promotion of creating a positive Health & Safety culture across the site leading by example, this includes reporting accidents and near misses in a timely manner & follow the applicable safe systems of work for the role.</li>

The ideal candidate must have experience of collating data and analysis of data and informatio together with excellent communication skills for staff at all levels.

 

Experience of work planning, monitoring and reviewing of performance is also essential.
