Salary: £11.74 per hour 

Working Hours: Full time, 40 hours a week

Location: Soar Valley College, Leicester, LE4 7GY


 

We are looking to recruit a Premises Officer to join our friendly team to ensure site maintenance services are to a high standard within our Leicester Schools contract based at Soar Valley Community College. This is a full time position working 40 hours per week, any 5 days out of 7 between Monday and Sunday working various shifts between 6am and 10pm.

 

Due to the working hours of this role, it is essential that you live within a commutable distance to the site using your own transport. Public Transport is not available in the area at the times required for the role. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work towards and maintain standards.

  • Carry out audits of facilities.

  • Carry out reactive and planned maintenance of school facilities.

  • Participate in the Health & Safety Policy of the company and report any dangers or hazards encountered to the Site Manager.

  • Locking/unlocking of the site/building gates and doors and ensure the safe custody of keys, fobs and access cards.

  • Carry out Litter picking and assisting cleaning teams as required.

  • Escorting of sub-contractors as required.


The Ideal Candidate:

Essential Criteria:

  • Reliable and conscientious with a keen eye for detail.

  • Have an enthusiastic and flexible approach.

  • Have excellent customer care skills.

  • Good understanding of English.

Previous caretaker/porter and maintenance experience is not essential but would be an advantage.

 

Due to the nature of this role, you will also be required to complete an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check
