About the role

We are looking to recruit Caretakers to join our friendly teams across a number of our school sites within Wiltshire and we have the following vacancies available:

Abbeyfield School (SN15 3XB) - 40hrs per week, Mon - Fri

Royal Wootton Bassett (SN4 7HG) - 40hrs per week, Mon - Fri

Shift Pattern

Week1: 6am - 2pm

Week 2: 2pm - 10pm

We are seeking a dependable and experienced Caretaker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for locking up the school each day, completing relevant H&S checks,  maintaining a safe school environment and completing minor repairs/DIY work.

Responsibilities

• Management of site security
• Locking up
• Ensuring sites are safe and Health and Safety issues are dealt with
• Managing/completing general maintenance tasks
• Managing/completing monthly H&S checks
• Maintaining records to ensure compliance

The Ideal Candidate:

Essential

• Good problem solving skills.

• Proactive approach.

• Excellent verbal and written communication.

• Good working knowledge of maintenance activities.

• Knowledge of the requirements to meet Statutory Compliance.

• IT literate with the ability to use Microsoft or Google sheets and document apps and be able to complete online learning modules.
