Assembly Technician - G4S Deposita - Midrand - South Africa 

Deposita SA, a world renowned Cash Management Company Specializing in Smart Solutions For Banking, Retail & Wholesale Sectors has a vacancy for an Assembly Technician based at our Deposita operations in Midrand.

Reporting to the Assembly Supervisor, this role is responsible to ensure proper assembly of ABM machines.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carefully putting together components and parts of ABM Machines by following detailed instructions, blueprints, and schematics, using hand tools and machinery to create a complete assembly, while also conducting quality checks to ensure the final product meets specifications and functions properly.

Role Responsibility:

1. Manufacturing functions:

• Checking bill of material picking slip.

• Assembly must be performed in a certain series of steps.

• Assembling automated banking machines (ABM’s) to 100% accuracy.

• Testing (ABM’s) to 100% completion.

• Fault finding and taking corrective measures.

• Perform any ad hoc duty that might be assigned to  you by management from time to time.

• Regularly refer to and update oneself with standard operation procedure governing the workplace.

• Work requires attention to detail to ensure uniformity and quality in the finished product.

• Assembler uses power tools or hand tools to perform his job.

• Workstation must always be cleaned and tools correctly stored according to the checklist.

• Always wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in the workplace.

• Gathering necessary parts and components according to the bill of materials.

• Precisely positioning and aligning parts using hand tools and power tools.

• Fastening components together using appropriate methods like screws, bolts, or adhesives.

2. Health and Safety:

• Attend safety education and refresher programs.

• Comply with safety policies and procedures at the workplace.

The Ideal Candidate:

1. Qualification & Technical Experience Required:

• Grade 12.
• 1-2 years proven experience as an assembly Technician or similar role.

2. Skills & Attributes:

• Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
• Good electrical understanding would help.
• Mechanical aptitude.
