Job Introduction:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Recruitment Officer to join the G4S Recruitment Team based in the South of England, ideally in the wider London Area working on a range of our Accounts.

This role reports to the Contract's Operations Manager managing applicants through the entire recruitment and deployment process. This is a field based job that requires someone who is confident and comfortable working independently in the field as part of the Recruitment Team, whilst communicating reguarly with the wider business. This position offers flexibility in planning your own schedule in terms of the hours worked and the location of the interviews. Interviews for potential Security Officers are held at Job Centres and hotels accross the South of England.

This is a remote based role, with the option to occasionally work at home. The successful applicant will be provided with a company vehicle.

Role Responsibility:

  • Liaising weekly with operational teams to identify vacancy requirements
  • Planning your workload around the vacancy requirements, book interview venues and liaise with the central recruitment administration team to ensure candidates are booked in for an interview
  • Welcoming candidates to interview and project a positive image of G4S to candidates and Job Centre Plus staff
  • Conducting interviews and assessment in full accordance with G4S recruitment standards and client site requirements. 
  • Ensuring all candidates presenting for interview receive fair and equal opportunity in accordance with G4S Equality & Diversity Standards.
  • Collecting and verifying original documents provided by the candidate & taking photos to send to the screening department.
  • Being responsible for ensuring all candidate assessment notes, vetting documents and application forms are sent complete to our central vetting department and you will be required to progress chase applicant files in screening.
  • Communicating with our central HR Shared Services team and candidates to ensure screened applicants are booked on training courses to ensure they have completed all induction and statutory training prior to deployment.
  • Liaising with operations to notify them of candidates ready for deployment
  • Completing weekly and monthly productivity reporting and you will be required to conduct weekly reconciliation checks on vacancies to ensure they are accurate

The Ideal Candidate:

Essential Requirements

  • Resident in the wider London area  
  • Hold a clean and current Driving License
  • Be passionate about service delivery and have the drive and motivation to work remotely along with able to travel across the region as required to support fellow Resourcing Officers during high peak recruitment periods
  • A highly organised individual, capable of prioritising workload and problem solve to meet service targets
  • Possess the ability to deliver accurate and consistent results under pressure
  • Be able to work at a fast pace supporting the accounts with information and service delivery, whilst working with a range of stakeholders
  • Previous experience of recruitment, resourcing, interviewing and assessment centres
  • 5 years checkable work history
  • Unrestricted right to work in the UK/EU
  • Fluent written and spoken English
