G4S Secure Solutions (Ire) are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Security Supervisor within the Pharmaceutical sector, based in Limerick. This is a full time permanent position. 

 

Basic Pay: €17.90 per hour + Sunday Premium €3.44 per hour, Unsociable Hours, Overtime and Bank Holiday rates paid. 

 

Main purpose of position:

 

 

The Site security supervisor will be responsible for first line management of the security team across the site to include but not limited to daily operations, policies, Rostering of team + annual leave, annual appraisals. It is expected the Supervisor will explore opportunities to further refine and improve upon the current processes.

A Portion of your core week will be set aside for Staff training and development, ensuring we meet Security KPIs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management and supervision of the contracted security team in our Centres and across the sites. Lead by example, set the standards and ensure the G4S values are upheld at all times.
  • Assist the Head of Security in improving overall safety performance by implementing site procedures to ensure a safe work place and to emphasize safe work habits.
  • Assist in the recruitment and retention of Security Staff.
  • Lead in Training & Development of Officers, implementation of annual appraisals for all Officers across the site.
  • Create and maintain a training matrix for Officers to ensure mandatory and annual training is delivered.
  • Responsibility for ensuring the security of colleagues, contractors, visitor, assets and information in accordance with site strategy.
  • Supporting investigation including Staffing issues and audits as required.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with all key customers and other public and private organisations to protect the client.
  • Assists the Head of Security with investigations, major policy violations, and any threats of violence/sabotage to work areas, property and or information.
  • Identify security issues requiring policy/procedure for implementation and improvement.
  • Work as part of the Security management team in the creation and implementation of all documentation, policies and procedures that support Security operations.
  • Have an active oversight that contributes to the management of financial targets/ budget processes. (Security costs)
  • Ensure site is in compliance with all security requirements. Highlighting gaps and identifying action plans for any deficiencies.
  • coordinating efforts by those with line responsibility for required processes, such as parking control, access control administration and electronic equipment to ensure standards are met
  • Conducting an annual site Risk Assessments
  • Contribute to the developing and maintaining ISPS Security Plan when required.
  • Having a vision for security in both the short and long terms
  • Ensuring the submission of Serious Security Incident Reports in a timely fashion.
  • Supporting the Head of Security on special projects, such as Investigations, Event Security as requested
  • Educating all colleagues on their security responsibilities) Understanding their role in the overall security program, and the importance of security in protecting all colleagues, visitors and assets
  • Ensure all Staff in maintaining a high level of security awareness and abiding by site-specific security plans, as directed by the Head of Security.
  • Responsible for the day to day administration of the Security centre

 

 

Skills, knowledge and experience:

 

  • 3+ years supervisory experience in the security
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities
  • Level of knowledge of a Pharmaceutical environment or experience beneficial.
  • PSA licensed as a minimum.
  • Experience in record management.
  • IT – must be able to interpret and manipulate data pulled from different security related software such as Access Control and CCTV.
