What we can offer you

  • Australian East Coast based - (Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane options available) with flexible work from home arrangements.
  • Global Clients portfolio - Work with our high profile clients in finance, tech and pharmaceuticals
  • Strategic impact on the business - dedicated operational and administrative support leaves you to focus on client engagement.
  • Significant growth potential - identify and secure growth options within the client portfolio

About the role and team

The Global Accounts Manager is a senior, key role within G4S Security Services. You will be responsible for the overarching relationship management, contract outcomes, financial performance, and organic growth of all major global accounts within the portfolio including financial, technology and pharmaceutical accounts.

This is a senior, autonomous role reporting directly to the GM, Security Services. You will own the portfolio commercially and operationally; revenue, margin, safety, client relationships and growth, supported by a security operations specialist, a business administrator and a new control room. The work spans global time zones (early UK calls, evening US calls), some East Coast travel and the occasional trip to New Zealand.

To ensure you can focus on strategic business outcomes, continuous improvement projects, and client relationships, you will be insulated from day-to-day issues by a robust support structure:

  • Dedicated Security Operations Specialist: Managing subcontractor performance, compliance licensing, SOPs, and site audits/inspections.
  • Business Administration Specialist: Managing client reporting, training compliance logs, and end-of-month invoicing/debtor management.
  • 24/7 Control Room Operation: Handles out-of-hours tactical requirements, last-minute shift coverage, and emergency leave requests.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Building and maintaining active, high-level relationships with global corporate clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Identifying and pursuing contract growth opportunities and service initiatives (such as risk advisory, smart technology, and casual guard surge solutions).
  • Developing and implementing annual operations and account plans that drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensuring high-level contract compliance and tracking overall service delivery KPIs.
  • Managing portfolio budgets and financial performance, including taking on accountability for revenue, margin %, EBITDA, and cash targets.
  • Overseeing macro risk and issue resolution across multiple client contracts simultaneously.
  • Contributing to governance, strategy, and business processes across region and global networks.
  • Coaching, mentoring, and developing direct reports (including dedicated site supervisors and coordinators) to ensure an exceptional employee experience.
  • Overseeing and maintaining an effective safety system that aligns with the G4S OHS Policy and Safety Golden Rules to keep our global teams safe.

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience in senior account management or corporate business operations; prior security industry experience is preferred but NOT mandatory as we value high-level business capabilities over technical badges.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with a track record of managing multi-million dollar P&Ls and driving business improvement projects.
  • Commercial instinct to be a client's first point of contact and frame opportunities without being a pure salesperson
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills possessing the professional confidence to act as the primary point of contact for tier-1 global enterprise clients.
  • Strategic thinker with a focus on results and a track record of navigating complex internal and external matrix organizations.
  • High autonomy and flexibility to adjust your working schedule to accommodate global time zones (including occasional early morning meetings for the UK and late afternoon/evening meetings for the US).
  • Self-motivated starter with a strong, resilient nature and a willingness to travel across the East Coast and internationally (including New Zealand) to support on-site relationships.

The recruitment process

G4S runs a staged recruitment process which includes:

  • Applying online with a CV.
  • Shortlisted applicants will have a call with our Sourcing Lead to learn more about the role.
  • 2 round of interview process
  • Background checks, including a National Police Check, a Reference checks + ID form.
