SSC (Site Security Center) Controller

Role Overview:

The SSC Controller is a pivotal role responsible for supporting the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC). The core objective is to ensure the safety and security of the site through proactive monitoring, incident management, and effective communication. SSC Controllers act as the primary operational link between on-site security teams, the GSOC ecosystem, and local stakeholders.

Core Responsibilities:

• Incident Management & Dispatch:

• Manage, monitor, and update the incident management system in real-time.

• Dispatch security officers to incidents or alarms as required.

• Serve as the first point of contact for officers requiring instruction or support.

• Monitoring & Surveillance:

• Perform passive CCTV monitoring of the site to identify security breaches or hazards.

• Monitor local open-source intelligence.

• Operational Coordination:

• Provide real-time access monitoring and response to security incidents.

• Liaise with security and facility management to address vulnerabilities and access control challenges.

• Support the GSOC ecosystem under the strategic direction of the GSOC in partnership with Security & Resilience Operations.

• Engage local law enforcement when required.

• Communication:

• Maintain active communication with the Site Security Supervisor, GSOC, and G4S management.

• Ensure all reporting and communication platforms are used strictly for work purposes in accordance with company policy.

• Reporting:

• Ensure all incident reports, daily activities, and findings are recorded accurately and in real-time in the appropriate platforms.

Key Requirements & Competencies:

• System Proficiency: Must be proficient in utilizing Google corporate tools and security platforms, including:

• Vantage Field App (dispatch and task management).

• Incident management systems (e.g., GSOC Preliminary Incident Report).

• Ticketing systems (GUTS, Buganizer, Skyvine).

• Operational Readiness:

• Ability to work in a 24/7 environment (shifts: 06H00 - 18H00 & 18H00 - 06H00).

• Must be Grade A certified.

• Adherence to strict confidentiality and privacy standards regarding Google property and information.

• Professionalism:

• Strict adherence to the G4S code of conduct and disciplinary code.

• Proactive and vigilant approach to security monitoring and incident response.

• Emergency Response:

• Ability to remain calm and follow established emergency workflows during high-pressure situations (e.g., active assailants, bomb threats, protests, or medical incidents).

• Competency in coordinating with emergency services and internal management teams.
