Training Coordinator 

 

Contract Type: Fixed-term (9 months)

 

JOB SUMMARY / PURPOSE:

 

The Training Coordinator (TC) will support the delivery of an extensive training programme to support security officers obtaining an SIA Door Supervisor Licence.

 

The TC will need to coordinate external training course suppliers, the trainees, and account schedulers and operational managers to ensure efficient training delivery, minimising any impact on daily operations. The TC will also be required to organise and coordinate training venues, travel arrangements, and accommodation as required. 

 

The TC will also need to manage the collection, processing, and delivery of required documentation between all training delivery stakeholders, ensuring compliance with company policy and GDPR regulations. 

 

The position will require excellent administrative, organisational and communication skills, as the role will involve coordinating with multiple training stakeholders on a daily basis. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES:

 

  • Communicate with external training suppliers to establish course availability.

  • Communicate  with trainees to establish suitable training dates.

  • Liaise with operational schedulers and managers to arrange cover for trainees. 

  • Comply with GDPR regulations in relation to confidential documentation and storage of personal employee information and communication.

  • Support in the development of, manage and communicate the training schedule.

  • Record, track, analyse and report training programme progress. 

  • Ensure trainees are fully informed and prepared for their courses. 

  • Organise training venues if not provided by the supplier.

  • Make travel and accommodation arrangement for trainees as required 

  • Coordinate with the training administrators to ensure all required trainee documents are collected and checked. 

  • Build good working relationships with training suppliers. 

  • Support the HR Training and Development Manager on other training delivery programmes as required. 

 

CORE COMPETENCIES:

  • Must be computer literate, including Microsoft Office and apply these skills to bespoke software.

  • Experience of delivering or supporting the delivery of a large scale training project or programme.

  • Security industry experience preferred.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Experience managing or working with training suppliers preferred.

  • Experience working in or delivering training programmes for the public sector, particularly within government contracts.
