Role Responsibility:

TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGER 

 

Salary: £48,000 - £53,000 per annum
Working Hours: Permanent, Full Time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 8:30am and 5:30pm
Location: Cheltenham, GL51 0EX

 

Excellent benefits package including 2.5% Golden Hello payment on commencement of employment and a £2,000 annual retention bonus, subject to achieving and maintaining security clearance requirements. 

 

G4S Facilities Management are recruiting a Technical Project Manager on a full-time, permanent basis based in Cheltenham.

 

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual with excellent planning, management, and communication skills with a strong awareness of the market environment. The ideal candidate will provide support to the Operational Team, ensuring a smooth execution of projects aligned with our company strategic goals.

 

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Technical Services Manager to develop and manage the annual Forward Maintenance Plan (FMP) and budget, ensuring delivery within budget using internal and subcontractor resources.
  • Support and oversee Lifecycle Works Supervisors, securing funding and ensuring value for money (VFM) with stakeholders and contractors.
  • Create and manage Work Packages, ensuring scopes and specifications meet requirements and works are cost and delivered effectively.
  • Ensure all works minimize energy and environmental impact, following industry best practices.
  • Track and manage FMP activities, budgets, and records, conducting periodic inspections to ensure safe and compliant delivery.
  • Provide regular progress reports to stakeholders, addressing deviations, and reviewing priorities to align with infrastructure needs.
  • Oversee handover of completed works to operational teams and maintain strong collaboration across departments.


The Ideal Candidate:

Essential

  • Relevant certifications (e.g. Project management, engineering or Building services) or equivalent experience.

  • Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex projects on time and within scope.

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in a technical environment.

  • Experience in engaging and managing subcontractors. 

 

Desirable

  • Experience of secure and critical environments.

  • Experience of operating within a PPP/PFI.
