SPORTS EVENT & MATCH DAY SAFETY STEWARD - GLASGOW

£12.00 per hour



 

We are looking to recruit additional Events Safety Stewards to join our existing Events team in Glasgow. With a very busy year ahead, we have work across the sports and music industries along with festivals and conferences, and exhibitions, spanning the whole of the UK - so you will have the opportunity to be a part of the events you love.

 

We can offer you opportunities to be part of a wide range of events to suit your lifestyle, whether it’s flexible ad hoc hours whilst you study; weekend or evening work during your free time; or working 40+ hours a week, we have a wide range of shifts available.

 

G4S Events Team are looking to hire additional Safety Stewards to work across a number of key venues in Glasgow, where football and rugby is at the heart of the game!  We are seeking to enhance our current teams to help deliver a world class match-day experience.  Whether your team is Glasgow Warriors, Rangers or Celtic. Why not come and join us on match days to help delivery our security operation. You will also have opportunity to work at TRNSMT 2024, OVO Hydro, SWG3 Glasgow, Glasgow Summer Sessions, New Edmiston House, Hampden Concerts. 

 

Our Events Safety Stewards provide a visible reminder that safety is our number one priority for visitors and staff, therefore you will be responsible for securing the venues, staff and visitors for our customers. 

 

This may include:

 

  • Carrying out pre and post event safety checks ensuring compliance with safe working procedures
  • Greeting, assisting, and directing visitors attending the event
  • Monitoring visitor/crowd movements and behaviour to identify potential issues or incidents and to take action as necessary
  • Providing a high standard of customer care

Requirements:

 

  • Previous experience in events is not essential as full training will be provided
  • Must be over 18 years old
  • Evening and weekend availability required
  • Level 2 Spectator Safety qualification not essential, but must be willing to complete the fully funded training once on board
  • Excellent communication skills and customer focused
