Security Officer
Location: Limerick, Ireland | Salary: €12.90 hourly | Posted: 3 Apr 2024 | Business Unit: UK Facilities Management | Region / Division: UK & Ireland | Contracted Hours: Full-time | Employee Status: Permanent | Reference: 9744G4S Secure Solutions (Ire) are currently recruiting for SO2 for our client sites in Limerick. We are looking for individuals who are reliable and fully flexible.
Main purpose of position:
To protect our client's property, people and/or assets by providing security services to a specific site in direct accordance with the site procedures and policies
Main Responsibilities:
● Supervises the activities of all officers. Conducts briefings at the start of shift
to inform Security Officers of pertinent information regarding site and safety/
security matters.
● Schedules security personnel to cover designated areas and shifts.
● Investigate and/or report hazards and unusual or suspicious circumstances
to the Supervisor for correction or follow-up actions.
● Carry out patrols as required
● Conduct site training with all new Officers.
● Review reports from Officers for completeness and activity needing follow-up;
provide written and oral reports to Supervisor
● Carry out a handover between shifts.
● Check emails throughout the day and action accordingly
● Complete a daily report for all activities during the course of your shift
● Check site access
● Check all visitors and contractors are approved to go on site .
● Complete the temporary badge log as required
● Cover head block and respond to calls from head block
● Record the car park account when required.
● Check on the inductions for the day and fill out the visitor Per-Alerts sheet.
● Ensure the correct colour badges are issued.
● Carry out SSC walks at gate houses.
● Send a list of site parking permits to head block daily.
● Monitor traffic daily.
● At the end of the day check the daily report, fill in parking permits and send off
to head block When Artic on site we have remove them of site .
● Complete sop and talent hubs and assist other staff in doing so
● Check in new start people coming for interviews and inspectors.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
● Knowledge of supervisory practices and principles.
● Skill in both verbal and written communication.
● Skill in observing situations and decision-making.
● Skill in dealing courteously with the public.
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience as a security officer or front office customer service role, and/or education
from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved.

Must have the following requirements:
- Valid Static Security PSA License
- Safepass
- Good knowledge of IT
- Proficient in MS packages
- Fluent English essential
- Must be fully flexible and available to work days, evenings and weekends
- 5 years of verifiable work and personal history
- Basic computer skills are necessary
- Good customer service skills
- Excellent written and attention to detail skills are essential
