The Prison is the UK’s first purpose-built, new resettlement Prison. After opening in 2022 it is a one of a kind new generation category C new build Prison for the future and has become an integral part of the local community.
G4S Care & Rehabilitation Services (CaRS) already successfully manages 4 prisons, one secure training centre and a number of community contracts in England and Wales. The philosophy of our prisons is to rehabilitate offenders and equip them to re-integrate into mainstream society on release. We seek to normalise prison conditions as far as possible to reflect life in the outside community. Our aim is to create an environment in which staff and prisoners feel safe.
Reporting to the Security Intelligence Manager, we are now looking for a Security Analyst, to join the Security Function at HMP Five Wells. To succeed in this role, you will be a dynamic and engaging individual, who shares our ethics and values. You must deliver an exceptional service and can be flexible in working within a fast paced environment. You will also need to have excellent communication skills resourceful and proactive individual with Digital/IT experience to use our internal security systems and equipment. You will aid and support the establishments Security Management Team in identifying and tracking threats to the establishment’s security and good order, suggesting and directing methods of resource deployment and promoting positive working relationships with other law enforcement agencies.
Some of the key responsibilities of this role are:
- Management of the Mercury Intelligence System. Ensure all information for action is managed in timely manner, analysed, evaluated, actioned and disseminated were appropriate.
- Produce the Local Tactical Assessment on a monthly basis to provide an overview of current threats and risks to the Senior Management Team.
- Identify all potential category A and E list prisoners in line with local LSS.
- Complete risk assessments, reports and subject profiles as requested.
- Collate information as requested.
- Update Incident Reporting System (IRS), ensuring incidents are reported as per the LSS.
- Liaise with external agencies ensuring we provide support were necessary.
- Monitor telephone calls as required or requested.
- Manage the closed visits process ensuring all reviews are undertaken in a timely manner.
- Provide live intelligence to Intelligence Manager and Head of Security if an immediate threat or risk has been identified
- Update local databases as requested.
The Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate for this role will be organised and have excellent IT skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must, as well as working proactively and using your own initiative.
