Pay: £12.50 per hour

Potential earnings - £1333.33 / £13.88 per hour
(before deductions and including holiday pay, based on 8 days of  12 hour shifts)

 

Once again we will be delivering the security operation at The 153rd Open at Royal Portrush, 17–20 July 2025.

 

The Open, one of golf's most prestigious championships, returns to the stunning Royal Portrush Golf Club on Northern Ireland's Causeway Coast. Renowned for its challenging links course and breathtaking scenery. The Open in Portrush attracts the world's finest players and thousands of passionate fans, offering an unforgettable experience in the heart of golf history.

 

Join G4S as an Customer Care Steward to play your part in making one of the world's most exciting golfing event an experience for everyone. Successful candidates who are interested in progression will have an opportunity to complete SIA Door Supervisor course and potential earnings would be £3240 / £15.00 per hour (before deductions and including holiday pay, based on 18 days of  12 hour shifts).

 

Our Customer Care Stewards provide a visible reminder that safety is our number one priority for visitors and staff. Which means you could be inside or outside, on your feet showing people where to go, checking tickets at entry, monitoring the crowd and managing the car parking facilities. Wherever you are, you’ll be the fun, helpful and friendly face representing G4S.
 

You will be responsible for securing the venues, staff and visitors for our customers. This may include:

  • Carrying out pre and post event safety checks ensuring compliance with safe working procedures
  • Visitor Engagement: Greeting, assisting, and directing visitors attending the event
  • Monitoring visitor/crowd movements and behaviour to identify potential issues or incidents and to take action as necessary
  • Delivering exceptional customer service to enhance the visitor experience.

Requirements:

  • Availability to work from 13th July till 20th July
  • Previous experience in events is not essential as full training will be provided
  • Must be over 18 years old
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong customer-focused attitude.
