Job Introduction:

G4S Secure Solutions (SA), a leading provider of integrated security management solutions, has a vacancy for a Commercial Manager: Key Accounts & Pricing based at our Head Office in Centurion, Gauteng, reporting to the Commercial Director.


The main purpose of the position is to manage a large account portfolio in order to maximize new and additional growth to the portfolio.


The successful incumbent is a self-starter with a proven track record in maintaining company policy, adopting best practices, and is able to exercise sound judgement in the pursuit of the achievement of the goals of the organisation, and understanding the role which the Commercial Manager: Key Accounts & Pricing  plays within a successful business unit. The incumbent will be expected to be results driven and to live the values of the organisation.


Role Responsibility:

To Manage An Account Portfolio In Order To Maximize New And Additional Growth To The Portfolio

  • Prepare and execute presentations to customers

  • Conduct renewal of contract negotiations and complete negotiations to approved targets within agreed timeframes.  Ensuring that the renewal process motivated and justified

  • Prepare tender submissions and pricing for current clients

  • Manage the process between customer requirements and service failures /delivery

  • Act proactively towards issues that may threaten our business

  • Ensure that service level agreements are recorded correctly and communicated to all parties concerned

  • Ensuring a maximum level of personal competence in respect of: product identification and application, product costings, company knowledge, customer knowledge, price composition and justification, negotiation skills and presentation skills

  • Manage processes and billing between customers and sales admin dept

  • Assist with recons and billing issues

  • Ownership of the Satmetrix and NPS processes within the SA business 

  • Ensure sales growth target is met

  • Conduct / arrange site surveys to identify risks and develop appropriate solutions to meet customer needs.

  • Ensure that a customer file is maintained, containing a signed copy of the contract, contract schedule, as well as any other relevant documentation.

  • Preparation and submission of monthly reports to National Sales Manager and Commercial Director.


Commercial Acumen

  • Develop, implement, and maintain pricing strategies for the company's physical manned security services, aligned with business objectives, cost structures, market conditions, and competitive landscape.

  • Conduct thorough cost analysis of service delivery, including labor, equipment, technology and overheads, to establish accurate pricing baselines.

  • Continuously monitor market trends, competitor pricing, and customer price sensitivity to identify opportunities and risks.

  • Develop and maintain pricing models and tools to support consistent and strategic pricing decisions across different service offerings and client segments.

  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop competitive and profitable pricing for bids and proposals, considering client requirements, service complexity, and market dynamics.

  • Analyze pricing performance data, identify areas for optimization, and recommend adjustments to maximize revenue and profitability.

  • Ensure pricing practices comply with relevant regulations and internal policies.

  • Work closely with finance, sales, and operations teams to understand cost implications, market feedback, and service delivery factors that influence pricing decisions.


Health and Safety

  • Participate in the design/ development/ review/ implementation and monitoring of the branch/region/national safety plans for each year.

  • Participate in safety forums created by company for example safety meetings and safety talks

  • Report all safety incidents to the relevant people

  • Discuss all safety incidents on all levels

  • Follow-up on any activities assigned through safety meeting/committee/representative/management

  • Attend safety education and refresher programmes

  • Comply with safety policies and procedures at workplace

  • Distribute safety information as and when required

  • Wear protective clothing all the time





The Ideal Candidate:

Qualifications and Experience

  • Grade 12/Matric Equivallent

  • The releveny Tertiary qualification preferably in Sales/Marketing is advantageous

  • Minimum of 4 - 5 years experience in a similar role

  • Minimum 4 - 5 years experience in Manned Security, Electronic Security and Risk Management

  • Minimum 3 years experience in managing price increases in the client environment

  • Experience in a CRM system is advantageous

  • Commercial pricing experience
