We are looking to recruit a Catering Assistant  to join our  team, North Wiltshire School is spread over three school sites, you may be asked to work at another site if the need arises to which we will reimburse travel expenses.

 

This is a part-time role based at Abbeyfield School, working 27.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 09:15 – 14:45.

 

As a Catering Assistant, you will assist in providing catering and food services to the school, maintaining an awareness of health and food safety standards and working as part of a team to ensure service delivery across the contract. 

 

Creating a clean, safe, healthy and secure environment for people to work in is vital. Our Facilities Management teams work with some of the most important Government contracts, hospitals and schools. You will be making a difference, enabling and supporting these core businesses. 

Whether you are looking for a cleaning role, a plumber, an electrician or to work in customer services you will be valued and supported, and provided with first class training and competitive benefits.

 

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of cold snack items.

  • Preparation of cake or biscuit items for sale.

  • Preparation of items on the menu as directed by the chef manager.

  • Serving of food to customers.

  • Operation of tills and use of cashless catering.

  • Cashing up of tills.

  • Clearing up of kitchen and restaurant areas.

  • Completing paperwork as required.


The Ideal Candidate:

Essential Criteria:

  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills.

  • The ability to work well as part of a team.

  • Flexible with an awareness of basic food safety. 

Ideally you will have experience of working in catering within a school environment, however training will be provided.
