Overview of the role

As a professionally trained Security Officer for G4S, you could be a member of the security team responsible for securing premises, such as building sites, courts, shops, warehouses, banks and factories as well as ports and airports. You would be conducting foot or vehicle patrols, controlling access at points of entry, securing equipment and people, responding to emergency situations, monitoring CCTV and surveillance equipment and helping to identify and prevent criminal activity.

Position: Corporate Security Specialist


Location: Dublin 2 


Basic Pay: €15.41 + €3.10 site specific allowance 

Additional Pay: Sunday Premium + €3.44 per hour, Unsociable Hours €20.00 per shift worked, Overtime paid at x1.5 after 96 hours per fortnight, Bank Holiday paid at x2 when worked - All in accordance with the ERO order.


Contractual Hours: 36 per week


Schedule: Monday-Sunday 7am-7pm, 7pm-7am, 36 hours week one, 48 hours week two.

Only applicants with a minimum of 3 years of corporate security experience in Ireland will be considered for this role.

​Role Overview:

​G4S is seeking a high-calibre Corporate Security Specialist to provide premium security services at our prestigious client site in Dublin City. You will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment. This role requires a unique blend of traditional security vigilance and modern technical proficiency.

​Key Responsibilities:

1. Control Room & Surveillance Operations

  • CCTV Monitoring: Actively monitor live CCTV feeds to identify suspicious activities, potential security breaches, or safety hazards.

  • Alarm Response: Monitor and respond to integrated alarm systems (intruder, fire, access control) from the control room console.

  • Incident Logging: Maintain accurate, real-time digital logs of all security-related activities, anomalies, and shift events.

  • Systems Maintenance: Perform basic health checks on security hardware (cameras, monitors, radios) and report technical malfunctions immediately.

2. Physical Security & Access Control

  • Access Management: Monitor and control building access points, verifying employee badges and managing visitor registration procedures.

  • Patrols: Conduct regular, documented foot patrols of the facility to ensure all areas are secure and fire/safety protocols are being followed.

  • Emergency Response: Act as a first responder for medical emergencies, fire alarms, or security threats until external emergency services arrive.


3. Reporting &Communication

  • Incident Reporting: Draft professional, factual incident reports for management regarding security breaches or policy violations.

  • Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for staff, contractors, and visitors, maintaining a professional and helpful demeanor at all times.

​Requirements & Qualifications:

Must hold a valid PSA Static Security License (Mandatory).

​Technical Literacy: You must be highly proficient 

​Communication: English language requirement C1 minimum, reports must be professional, clear, and "client-ready."

​Experience: Minimum of 3 years experience in a corporate sector security role in Ireland

​Attributes: High level of discretion and the ability to maintain confidentiality
