About the role and team
G4S is seeking a proactive, resilient, and people-first leader to join our team as a Security Coordinator/Hub Coordinator. In this role, you will provide vital day-to-day leadership to our Court Security Officers (CSOs) across an assigned geographical hub, maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance, and service delivery in our court facilities.
If you are an experienced security professional with exceptional de-escalation skills, a sharp operational mindset, and a genuine passion for mentoring frontline teams, this is your opportunity to step into a pivotal leadership role.
Your primary place of work will depend on where you live regionally, operating directly out of one of the local courts within your designated area.
In this role you will
- Split your focus between frontline leadership, operational administration, and active presence at court locations.
- Supervise and mentor CSOs across your hub. Deliver tool box talks, conduct on-site training, ensure completion of online modules, and drive performance management to company standards.
- Maintain effective 24/7 staffing levels and cost-effective rostering. Coordinate ad-hoc taskings, ensure accurate timesheet/payroll submissions via Saturn, and prepare operational reporting within agreed timeframes.
- Maintain and operate within a rostered court security position within your designated hub, leading by example on the ground.
- Investigate, escalate, and log all security and OH&S incidents.
- Conduct routine compliance checks, safety audits, and risk assessments in line with G4S policies and the Victorian Occupational Health and Safety Act (2004).
- Build and sustain positive, professional working relationships with Court Registrars, Victoria Police, legal practitioners, and the public.
What we're looking for
- Valid Victorian Security Licence and Victorian Driver's Licence.
- Minimum 12 months of leadership/supervisory experience in security operations or a closely related frontline environment.
- Frontline Supervision: Strong interpersonal and people-management skills, with the ability to manage diverse teams in challenging environments.
- Certificate IV in Frontline Management (or equivalent leadership credential) - highly regarded, but not required.
- Multi-site or remote team leadership experience - advantageous, though not essential.
