HARD SERVICES MANAGER
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 per annum
Working Hours: Permanent, Full Time, 40 hours per week, Mon - Fri from 8am until 5pm
Location: Royal Wootton Bassett School, SN4 7HG
G4S Facilities Management is seeking a dedicated Hard Services Manager to lead our engineering team in North Wiltshire. Based at Royal Wootton Bassett School, you will oversee the delivery of building engineering services across the regional contract, ensuring full legislative compliance and operational excellence.
Main Duties & Responsibilities will include:</b>

Lead the implementation of corporate policies to ensure engineering services remain compliant with strategy, legislation, and business operating standards.

Oversee the delivery of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) against the annual plan, ensuring the asset register is audited and accurate.

Maintain strict adherence to contractual Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Manage the audit action tracker, ensuring all Health & Safety (HASAWA 1974) and compliance issues are recorded, reviewed, and resolved.</p>

Collaborate with the Lifecycle Manager to prepare and instigate 1–5 year Lifecycle and Maintenance plans.

Provide business plans and strategic recommendations to the Contract Operations Manager (COM) to drive service improvements.

Monitor emerging technologies and products to ensure procurement remains commercially viable and modern.

Manage the Hard Services Supervisor, Site Service Maintenance Technicians (SSMTs), and Administration team, fostering a culture of best practice and continuous training.

Oversee specialist suppliers and sub-contractors, managing negotiations, costs, and risk acceptance.

Build strong relationships with Site Managers, Procurement, and Project Management teams to ensure integrated service delivery.
Experience & Skills</b>
-
Must hold a formal Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) qualification with a deep operational understanding of Hard FM services</p>

NEBOSH certified with proven experience in audit and compliance within a building services environment.

Competent in the use of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project for data management and project tracking.

A strong team player with the self-motivation to work on your own initiative and manage complex priorities.

Operational knowledge of hard FM services
-
Commercially astute with a proven track record of identifying and implementing cost-effective engineering solutions.

Expert in leading key technical delivery and implementation, ensuring full operational control across complex building services.
