Please note that we will only accept applicants who have an AGSVA Baseline Defence Clearance or Negative Vetting 1 Defence Clearance - this is different to a police check and is usually sponsored by a current or recent employer.

About the role & team

Our client is a renowned global technology company, and this role is based at their Corporate Office in Felixstow, north-east of the Adelaide CBD. This people-facing casual Security Concierge position supports our team of 4 Security Officers and reports to the Contract Lead, and you will be required to work in a team and also independently.

This is an ad hoc casual role which will involve covering staff leave and dropped shifts - ideal for someone wanting flexible work, a student, or someone wanting additional hours on top of their current role. We are keen to hear from those that have a bit of security experience, a Negative Vetting 1 Clearance, or a Baseline Clearance. We are also looking for strong IT-literacy, and exemplary customer service and communication skills.

The role involves:

• Administration duties - such as monitoring incoming emails for new starter access approvals to the site, and then creating badges/access passes for these new starters.
• Managing the reception desk - including assisting people that have forgotten their access cards, supporting visitors with the sign-in process, assisting couriers, and interacting with facilities maintenance staff.
• Monitoring other sites in Australia and New Zealand remotely - for example, doing detailed security checks in our systems to provide our client's staff access at another site, where appropriate.
• CCTV monitoring - you may be required to monitor CCTV if there's an incident, do monitoring in that immediate area and get any required footage.
• Patrols & Report Writing - You will be required to do patrols on all levels of the building, as well as the external perimeter, and prepare and submit concise and clear incident reports when required.

What we're looking for

• You MUST have Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) Clearance OR a Baseline Clearance. (If you have a Baseline clearance, you must be prepared to apply for an NV1 clearance as soon as you commence with us).
• Current and Valid South Australian Security Licence.
• A high level of customer service skills.
• IT-literate, and willing to learn new systems.
• Experience working with security systems, including Access Control, CCTV, and Alarm Monitoring. (Experience with Lenel would be highly desirable.)
