Salary £38,899.14 per annum

Permanent - Full Time (40 hours per week)

At Oakhill Secure Training Centre we look after young people aged 12 to 18 years old who have been remanded or sentenced to periods of detention. The vulnerable young people in our care can be challenging with a wide range of social and emotional complex needs. This is an environment that calls for high standards of social care and service delivery to provide a secure and stable environment for young people to develop their life skills and address the behaviours that have led them into custody. 

 

Oakhill Secure Training Centre works closely with the Youth Custody Services to ensure that its regimes and designs reflect best practice in residential care to prevent offending.

 

We are looking to recruit a Quality Assurance Manager to oversee the monthly and quarterly reporting of statistics to the Youth Custody Service and Oakhill’s Senior Management Team and Director. 

 

The role requires an individual with a keen eye for detail for written and statistical data, with great timekeeping skills with the ability to keep to strict, non-negotiable, deadlines.  The successful candidate will collate, analyse, evaluate and present information to the management team to ensure that the centre if contractually compliant.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Management oversight of the Audit & Assurance Assistant, the Centre’s compliance matrix and Complaints Process.</li>
  • Oversight of the Information and Data Management policies, processes and objectives for Oakhill STC.
  • To lead on assurance checks of the Centre’s Compliance logs, to chair and manage the weekly Compliance Meeting.
  • Close liaison and working relationships with departmental Senior Managers, in order to obtain monthly KPI & KPT information.</li>
  • Analyse data to identify patterns and trends of behaviour, occurrence and identify areas of risk in line with contractual requirements.
  • Monitor and collate the required performance returns to ensure accuracy on a monthly basis and ensure required information is submitted in a timely manner.
  • Provide analysis of management information to identify patterns and trends and thereby support a culture of continual improvement.
  • Liaise with relevant Heads of Departments to ensure policy reviews are conducted within set timescales
  • Manage and meet strict deadlines, to deliver data and reports for:
    • Monthly G4S Performance Reviews
    • Monthly Director & Monitor Meetings</li>
    • Quarterly Contract Review Meeting with the Youth Custody Service
  • The postholder is responsible for ensuring that records (in all formats) are maintained, stored and disposed of in accordance with organisational policy, contractual requirements, legal and regulatory requirements and recognised best practice. This includes:
    • Implementing and maintaining effective records management systems and controls
    • Ensuring records are accessible and retrievable when required
    • Supporting compliance with data protection, freedom of information and information security obligations
    • Promoting good recordkeeping practices across the contract and providing guidance to staff
    • Ability to confidently and independently use Google Sheets, Google Docs, Google Slides & Google Email (guidance will be provided where needed to improve knowledge).</li>

You must have experience of work planning, monitoring and reviewing of performance together with collating data and analysis of data.

 

Previous auditing experience is desirable but not essential.
