Location: Criminal Courts of Justice, Parkgate Street, Dublin 8 (D08 K6YH)

Salary: €15.80 per hour

Contract Type: Part-Time 20 hours per week
Shift Roster:

Monday to Friday. Morning: 06:00 – 09:30 ) OR Evening (17:00 – 20:30)
Plus Alternating Saturdays: Morning (08:00 – 13:15) OR Afternoon (12:45 – 18:00)
About the Role
G4S Facilities Management (Ireland) is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Cleaning Operative to join our team at the landmark Criminal Courts of Justice complex in Dublin. In this role, you will play an essential part in upholding high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety across one of Dublin's key civic buildings, creating a clean, safe, and professional environment for court personnel, legal professionals, and members of the public.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality routine and deep-cleaning services throughout designated areas of the Courts complex.

  • Carry out cleaning duties independently and cooperatively as part of the on-site facilities team.

  • Adhere strictly to cleaning schedules, hygiene standards, and health & safety protocols.

  • Safely use and store cleaning equipment, PPE, and chemical agents in accordance with training and safety data sheets (COSHH).

  • Complete daily cleaning checklists and sign-off sheets accurately.

  • Report any maintenance defects, hygiene issues, or health and safety concerns promptly to supervisors.

  • Actively participate in all mandatory health, safety, and operational training sessions.

  • Maintain a polite, professional, and discreet demeanor when working in public-facing and court-sensitive areas.

  • Comply with G4S Core Values, company policies, and ISO quality/environmental standards at all times.
Requirements
Essential:
  • Right to Work: Valid legal permission to work at least 20 hours per week in the Republic of Ireland (e.g., Irish/UK/EU/EEA citizenship, Stamp 4, Stamp 1G, or eligible Stamp 2 student permission).

  • Security Clearance: Successful candidates must be willing to undergo Garda Vetting / background screening suitable for working within a State justice building.

  • High reliability, punctuality, and a conscientious eye for detail.

  • Strong team-working skills with the ability to manage tasks independently.

  • Flexible and proactive attitude toward shift coverage, including rostered Saturday shifts.
Desirable:
  • Previous commercial or corporate cleaning experience.

  • Basic understanding of chemical handling, health & safety, and commercial cleaning equipment (full on-site training will be provided).
