Main Purpose of the Role
This role is responsible for managing electronic security services for the ATC client nationally, which includes but is not limited to ad hoc and routine maintenance, installation projects, sales, delivering customer service and profitability. It is also responsible for managing the ATC account portfolio in order to maximize the profitability of the business.
Key Accountabilities
Effective Management Of The Technology Contract Financial Performance
Manage profitability of contracts with a focus on maintenance,
sustainability, cost effectiveness and labour.
Initiate cost saving model and controls
Gross Margin Management
Overheads control
Contract profitability
Ensuring that claims against the Company are prevented or minimized through regular customer risk assessments.
Existing Revenue Growth
Manage the contract cash flow and oversight of invoice documentation and accuracy of information
Effective People Management
Team Leadership & Subcontractor Management
Employee turnover analysis, proper allocation of employees to work flow and job requirements.
Liaising with sub-contractors regarding reinstallation requirements, etc.
Manage employee motivation levels
Ensuring that performance assessments of all subordinate employees are conducted and corrective action is implemented where necessary.
Ensuring that acceptable standards of behaviour at work are maintained by all subordinate employees and subcontractors, as required by G4S’s code of conduct and disciplinary code.
Ensuring that all disciplinary actions are conducted in compliance with Company policies and procedures.
Development
Succession Planning and Employment Equity
Attendance of subordinates at scheduled training interventions, meetings of employment equity goals, and succession planning.
Effective Management of ATC Operations
Managing the Maintenance/Project process flow and activities that have a direct/indirect impact on the outcome and success of contracts
Client retention and customer service levels
Ensuring that all required formal customer meetings are scheduled, attended and minuted.
Maintenance of positive customer relationships
Quality Management/Ops Process management
Adherence to quality standard collaborating with Quality Assurance Manager
Conduct and oversee quality controls and inspections (including sub contractors)
Shared Best Practice
Specific examples of implementation of BP from other regions
Effective Management of Business Development Function
New Business Development
Identifying new business opportunities in the region’s sphere of operations, as well as in terms of growth of business with existing customers.
Competitors Evaluations
Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the competitor environment faced by the region.
Health and Safety
Participate in the design/ development/ review/ implementation and monitoring of the departmental safety plans for each year
Participate in safety forums created by the company, for example, safety meetings and safety talks
Report all safety incidents to the relevant people
Discuss all safety incidents
Follow-up on any activities assigned through safety meetings/committee / representative /management
Attend safety education and refresher programs
Comply with safety policies and procedures at the workplace
Distribute safety information as and when required
Minimum Requirements
Qualification and Experience
Grade 12 / Matric Equivalent
A relevant Tertiary qualification in business management/operational management
Minimum of 3 years Management experience in an Electronic Security Services environment
Extensive experience w.r.t. Implementation of the following systems: CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Detection, Fire Detection and Fire Suppression
Experience in Business Development/Sales of Corporate Projects
Control Room Service experience advantageous
Extensive Security Industry/Electronic Security knowledge
Skills and Attributes
Proficient Computer Literacy (Google Workspace / Microsoft Office)
Intermediate Financial Acumen
Excellent Reporting Skills (Presentation of Financial and Operational Reports to Executive Management & Clients)
