G4S Events is pleased to announce that we are looking to recruit an Operations Manager to join the team, covering a key customer account at the o2 Arena, London. You will play a key role in helping us deliver our ambition to be the first choice for security, stewarding and crowd management and helping us set new standards within the events industry.
As part of a Nationwide team of Operations Managers, your role will be to manage the relationships with our customers and deliver exceptional security solutions for the benefit and safety of every customer. With a track record of event security and the ability to build relationships with our partners and the authorities that support every event, you’ll be responsible for communication, data analysis and regular updates to your event customers.
This role will bring a higher level of support for the events we help our customers host. In return, your career ambitions will be supported by the global leader in security and through the influence and inspiration of our new Senior Leadership Team of G4S Events.
Key responsibilities:
Build and maintain effective customer relationships through planning, implementation and management of successful event security and stewarding operations
Delivery of gross margin for events within remit in line with business and customer requirement
Drive improvements and innovation throughout the business
Responsible for timely and accurate invoicing for events
Responsible for negotiating contract extensions and price increases in line with statutory requirements
Accountability of workforce through full employee life-cycle
Responsible for people management and employment relations in line with key people policies
Adherence to project milestones within timescales for events including proactive planning
Proactively review MI to identify trends in the casual workforce to drive resourcing improvements
Drive recruitment and selection in the function with support from the resourcing team
Responsible for compliance of systems and processes in the function
Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
Experience in a similar role within the events or security industry
An SIA Door Supervisor License or willingness to complete within 30 days of starting your role
A NVQ Level 3 / 4 in Spectator Safety or willingness to complete within 6 months of starting your role
An Event Management qualification (Desirable)
Experience of managing / working with large teams of people
Experience of managing change and improvement
Experience of building strong relationships with multiple stakeholders
Experience of working within Sports, Music, C&E or other event types
