Overview of the role

As a professionally trained Security Officer for G4S, you could be a member of the security team responsible for securing premises, such as building sites, courts, shops, warehouses, banks and factories as well as ports and airports. You would be conducting foot or vehicle patrols, controlling access at points of entry, securing equipment and people, responding to emergency situations, monitoring CCTV and surveillance equipment and helping to identify and prevent criminal activity.

These roles play a pivotal role in managing the teams and their activities as well as liaising with our customers.

Close Protection/Bodyguards

We employ many ex armed forces personnel in to these roles as they have hugely valuable and transferable skills.

SECURITY OFFICERS - NATIONWIDE (150)

Responsibilities

●Patrol randomly or regularly building and perimeter.

● Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates.

● Protect property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment.

● Observe for signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances.

● Act lawfully in direct defense of life or property.

● Apprehend criminals and evict violators.

● Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences.

● Report in detail any suspicious incidents.

● Perform first aid or CPR.

Requirements

● Minimum BGCSE/Cambridge and/or a certificate in security management

● Must hold no criminal record.

● Must be Mature and Responsible.

● Physically and mentally fit.

● Have Integrity and self discipline.

● Fluent in both English and Setswana.

● Ability to adapt to working under pressure.

● Customer centricity.

● Previous experience as a Security Officer is an added advantage.
