Overview of the role

As a professionally trained Security Officer for G4S, you could be a member of the security team responsible for securing premises, such as building sites, courts, shops, warehouses, banks and factories as well as ports and airports. You would be conducting foot or vehicle patrols, controlling access at points of entry, securing equipment and people, responding to emergency situations, monitoring CCTV and surveillance equipment and helping to identify and prevent criminal activity.

Position Overview

We are seeking a professional, vigilant, and customer-focused individual to join the G4S team as a Security Officer at Tollymore Forest Park. The successful candidate will play a vital role in assisting our client to secure the site while ensuring an exceptional experience for all visitors. This role is ideal for a dedicated professional who thrives in a public-facing environment and maintains high security standards through excellence in customer service and proactive vigilance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Access Control & Site Security: Manage robust access controls for personnel and vehicles, ensuring all established security protocols are strictly followed.

  • Patrols & Surveillance: Conduct regular patrols across the site to maintain perimeter integrity and provide a visible security presence.

  • Customer Service Excellence: Act as a primary point of contact for visitors, providing professional "meet and greet" services and building a positive rapport with all stakeholders.

  • Vigilance & Risk Mitigation: Remain vigilant in identifying and mitigating potential security risks or breaches to ensure the safety of people and property.

  • Communication & Reporting: Utilize strong verbal and written communication skills to deliver clear information and maintain accurate records of site activities or incidents.

  • Incident Response: Respond promptly to alarms or security incidents, applying professional de-escalation and problem-solving skills as required.
