Overview of the role

As a professionally trained Security Officer for G4S, you could be a member of the security team responsible for securing premises, such as building sites, courts, shops, warehouses, banks and factories as well as ports and airports. You would be conducting foot or vehicle patrols, controlling access at points of entry, securing equipment and people, responding to emergency situations, monitoring CCTV and surveillance equipment and helping to identify and prevent criminal activity.

We are looking for a high-performing Senior Security Specialist to lead and strengthen our on-ground security operations. This is a critical leadership role responsible for ensuring a safe, secure, and compliant environment through effective shift management, incident response, and team leadership.

As the tactical lead, you will play a key role in managing security operations, responding to incidents, and coordinating with internal stakeholders and external authorities.

???? Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

Lead and manage assigned shifts, ensuring smooth operations and strict adherence to security protocols

Incident Management

Act as the first responder for security and safety incidents

Ensure timely escalation and coordinate follow-up actions with the Site Security Manager

Reporting & Documentation

Review and validate incident reports for accuracy and completeness

Maintain proper documentation using incident management systems

Vulnerability Assessment

Conduct regular security checks, including penetration testing, to identify and mitigate risks

Stakeholder Coordination

Serve as the point of contact for statutory authorities and media during unplanned visits

Collaborate with RSOC for threat monitoring and incident resolution

Emergency Preparedness

Lead emergency drills and ensure readiness across teams for crisis situations

Team Leadership & Mentorship

Guide and mentor Security Specialists to build a culture of vigilance and continuous improvement

???? Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

5+ years of experience in security operations

Minimum 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role

Strong leadership, decision-making, and crisis management skills

Proficiency in MS Office and incident management tools (e.g., Resolver, Everbridge)

Excellent communication and reporting skills
