COMMERCIAL CONTRACT ACCOUNTANT
Salary: £67,000 - £70,000 per annum
Working Hours: Permanent, Full Time, 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday between the hours of 8am and 5pm
Location: Hybrid (Predominantly home based, with a minimum of 1 day per week onsite at Churchill Hospital, Oxford, OX3 7LE)
G4S Facilities Management is seeking an experienced Commercial Contract Accountant to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis.
As a key member of the management team supporting two Facilities Management (FM) PFI contracts, you will deliver critical commercial and operational financial support to drive informed business decision making. This role empowers you to take full P&L and balance sheet responsibility while serving as the primary finance contact for both contracts. We are looking for someone who can step beyond traditional finance functions, applying sharp analytical skills to bring commercial and operational issues to life for senior management</p>
Key Responsibilities
Your financial insights will directly influence our operational success and profitability.

Financial Reporting & Ownership: Ensure the accurate and timely production of accounts in line with IFRS and Group policies, managing month-end accounts, journal postings, and balance sheet reconciliations. </p>

Strategic Commercial Insight: Identify delivery risks and opportunities, propose innovative solutions, and effectively manage stakeholder expectations throughout the process.

Drive Profitability: Analyse financial and operational data to establish key performance metrics, driving cost reductions by providing effective, constructive challenges to the operations team

Forecasting & Modeling: Own the budget and forecasting processes on a monthly, quarterly, annual, and rolling basis. You will also prepare quarterly accounting papers and build robust financial models. </p>

Process Excellence: Champion the continuous improvement of finance processes and controls, ensure monthly billing is accurate for timely cash collection, and manage all financial data uploads into SAP .

Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate strong relationships with senior managers, their teams, and external/internal auditors. You will collaborate closely with the Business Director, Contract Management & Operations, the Finance Shared Service Centre, and the Region Finance Team </p>

A minimum of 5+ years of proven experience as an Accountant.

Strong technical accounting skills with an in-depth understanding of IFRS

Solid experience in contract management and long-term contract accounting

Exceptional interpersonal skills, enabling you to effortlessly win the respect and trust of colleagues and customers
