Job SummaryG4S is seeking a diligent and reliable Security Steward to provide essential opening and locking services for our client's premises. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the security and integrity of the building and property by strictly following established procedures for opening and securing the facility outside of operational hours. The Steward will report directly to the Operations Manager and is critical to maintaining the overall safety and security of the client's business.Key Responsibilities
Opening Procedures:
Execute the daily unlocking of the premises between 07:15 and 07:45 following documented security protocols.
Conduct initial security checks upon entry to ensure the premises are safe and secure before staff arrival.
Closing/Locking Procedures:
Execute the daily securing and locking of the premises between 18:15 and 19:00 following documented security protocols.
Conduct thorough internal and external patrols to ensure all windows, doors, and access points are secured.
Verify that all non-essential equipment and lighting are switched off as per procedure.
Security and Incident Reporting:
Ensure the building and property are fully secured and locked at the close of business.
Identify, record, and report any security breaches, vulnerabilities, or incidents immediately to the Security Supervisor.
Adhere strictly to all site-specific security regulations and safety guidelines.
Communication:
Provide clear and timely communication to the Security Supervisor regarding the completion of opening and locking duties and any anomalies encountered.
Compliance:
Maintain accurate records of all opening and locking activities in the designated logbook or system.
Working HoursThe Steward must be available to cover the following critical security windows:

Proven experience in a security, stewarding, or facilities support role is highly desirable.
Demonstrable understanding of security procedures and protocols.
Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment in security matters.
High level of reliability, punctuality, and responsibility.
Excellent attention to detail, particularly when conducting security checks.
Strong verbal communication skills for accurate reporting.
Must be able to pass a background check and obtain relevant security licensing/clearance (if required by local jurisdiction).
