G4S Facilities Management is seeking a talented and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Cheltenham.

 

What we offer:

  • Competitive Salary: From £43,469.80 Per Annum

  • Full-Time: 42 hours/week, 2 day shifts [7am - 7pm], 2 night shifts [7pm - 7am], 4 days off. 

About the Role:

You will be responsible for providing a range of mechanical engineering services, including:

  • Undertake statutory and routine inspections of a variety of mechanical plant
  • Respond to defects, undertaking  routine repairs as required 

  • Conduct all work to high standards, ensuring a safe working environment and adherence to SLA, KPIs, site policies, and Health and Safety regulations.

  • Monitor and utilize PDA devices for service delivery

  • Identify and requisition materials for routine and repair maintenance

  • Proactively identify opportunities for continuous service improvement

  • Support a safe, clean, and healthy working environment.

  • Develop and maintain client relationships.

  • Maintain a professional attitude and image.


Who we are looking for:

  • Essential:
    • NVQ Level 2 in Mechanical Engineering 
    • Ability to obtain DV clearance
    • Previous experience in a facilities maintenance environment

 

  • Desirable:
    • Mechanical to electrical conversion course
    • IPAF or equivalent certification
    • Knowledge of wet systems 
    • Microsoft proficiency
