Overview of the role

As a professionally trained Security Officer for G4S, you could be a member of the security team responsible for securing premises, such as building sites, courts, shops, warehouses, banks and factories as well as ports and airports. You would be conducting foot or vehicle patrols, controlling access at points of entry, securing equipment and people, responding to emergency situations, monitoring CCTV and surveillance equipment and helping to identify and prevent criminal activity.

Once again we will be delivering the security operation at the Randox Grand National in April 2026.

Join G4S as an Events Security Officer to play your part in making some of the world's most exciting events an experience for everyone. You will be part of a team ensuring that some of the UK and the world's biggest events run in a safe, secure way, ensuring that everyone has a first class experience.  

Liverpool is a key location for G4S Events - with year-round contracts at prestigious sporting venues across the city, including Everton Football Club, festivals and horse racing. You could be part of making these events a success. If you're open to travel we even have opportunities to be part of some of the biggest events in the UK.

You'll be part of a delivery team responsible for conducting searches, monitoring crowds and responding to security incidents. You'll be working at some of the world's largest events, often with thousands of people, so you'll need your experience as an SIA Door Supervisor licensed security professional to identify situations before they happen and respond accordingly to those that do. Equally important is your ability to deliver a great customer experience to help create a unique atmosphere.

This is a varied role that will provide great memories: you could be based in the events space, outside with the fans or helping to protect world famous athletes and staff. Friendly, professional and approachable, you'll use common sense to help people and ensure the events run smoothly. You will need to hold your SIA Door Supervisor licence and be available to work in the evening and/or at the weekend. If you have security experience, or looking to start earning extra money and experience working within the Events Industry and hold your SIA Licence then you can do this. 


You will just need to complete the following application form and one of our Recruiters will be in touch to discuss the next steps. Our recruitment and selection process will include an interview and screening to BS7858 standards.

Given the nature of the industry, we do need to ask some questions for security and compliance purposes, but don’t worry - you will only need to complete them once.
