Overview of the role

As a professionally trained Security Officer for G4S, you could be a member of the security team responsible for securing premises, such as building sites, courts, shops, warehouses, banks and factories as well as ports and airports. You would be conducting foot or vehicle patrols, controlling access at points of entry, securing equipment and people, responding to emergency situations, monitoring CCTV and surveillance equipment and helping to identify and prevent criminal activity.

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated, customer-focused, and security-aware individual to join the G4S team as a Security Officer, supporting our prestigious client at one of Belfast’s most famous tourist attractions. The successful candidate will be pivotal in maintaining the safety and security of the site while ensuring an exceptional customer experience for all visitors and stakeholders.

Essential Requirements

  • SIA Door Supervisor (DS) License: Possession of a valid and current SIA Door Supervisor license is mandatory.

  • Customer Service Excellence: Must be deeply customer-focused with excellent interpersonal skills, as people interaction is key to supporting the overall visitor experience.

  • Security Awareness: Proven ability to maintain a high level of security awareness and commitment to supporting the overall security of the building and premises.

  • Team Player: Capable of working strongly and collaboratively as part of a dedicated team.

  • Adaptability: Must be highly adaptable to the fluctuating needs of the business, including providing security support during various events and ensuring consistent service delivery across the site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding customer service, acting as a professional and helpful point of contact for visitors, staff, and the client.

  • Implement and adhere to all established security protocols, policies, and procedures.

  • Support the overall security operations of the building, conducting patrols and incident response as necessary.

  • Provide dedicated security support for events, including the safeguarding and protection of VIPs.

  • Build and maintain excellent working rapport with the client to facilitate effective security planning and support for various events.

  • Be proactive in identifying and mitigating potential security risks.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Previous Security Experience: Prior experience in a security-related role is highly desirable.

  • CCTV Operation: Experience with CCTV monitoring is desirable; however, it is not a necessity as full training can be provided.
