Job Description: Security Officer

Job Summary

As a professionally trained Security Officer for G4S, you will be the frontline defense protecting our client’s premises, assets, information, and personnel. You will foster a safe environment by proactively managing entry points, conducting thorough patrols, monitoring surveillance equipment, and acting as a calm, authoritative responder during emergency situations. G4S officers must project a highly professional image, balancing strict security posture with excellent customer service.

Core Responsibilities & Duties

1. Surveillance & Patrols

• Conduct regular foot and/or vehicle patrols around the building interior, perimeter, parking facilities, and vulnerable areas to detect unauthorized presence or safety hazards.
  
  

• Inspect security infrastructure (doors, gates, locks, fire escapes) to ensure everything is functional and secure.
  
  

2. Access Control & Customer Service

• Manage entry and exit points for employees, visitors, contractors, and vehicles.
  
  

• Verify identifications, issue visitor badges, and maintain accurate digital or physical visitor logs.
  
  

• Greet clients and the public with a friendly, professional demeanor while maintaining high situational awareness.
  
  

• Enforce company policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and site-specific regulations.
  
  

3. Incident Response & Reporting

• Act as a first responder to site emergencies, including fire alarms, medical crises, safety hazards, or security breaches.
  
  

• Document detailed daily logs, security check sheets, and incident reports 

Key Skills & Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Senior High School Certificate
  
  

• Identification: Ghana Card
  
  

Physical & Medical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods (up to an entire shift) and climb stairs or navigate uneven terrain.
  
  

• Must pass standard G4S physical fitness training

• Must clear a comprehensive background check and reference checks
