Job Title: Trainer 

Department: Trainer / Security Operations
Location: NCR Hub
Reporting To: Site In-charge / Security Manager 

 


Objective of the Role:

To lead and manage the training  function at the client site, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and client policies, supervising the fire safety team , and ensuring readiness for any emergency through prevention, preparedness, response, and recovery measures.

 


Key Responsibilities:

1.  Trainng & Team Management

  • Shifte Lead, mentor, and supervise Fire Supervisors and Firemen deployed at the site.
     
  • Prepare duty rosters, assign responsibilities, and monitor performance of the fire safety team.
     
  • Conduct regular briefing and debriefing sessions to align team on safety priorities.
     
  • Evaluate training needs of team members and coordinate refresher courses.
     

2. Fire Prevention & Risk Assessment

  • Carry out site-wide fire risk assessments in line with the National Building Code (NBC) and client requirements.
     
  • Identify fire hazards, assess risk levels, and implement preventive measures.
     
  • Ensure the correct storage, handling, and disposal of hazardous materials.
     
  • Maintain updated fire hazard maps and fire exit plans for the premises.
     

3. Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure strict compliance with local Fire Department regulations, NBC, Factories Act (if applicable), and client-specific fire safety protocols.
     
  • Prepare and maintain fire safety records including equipment inspection logs, incident reports, and drill attendance sheets.
     
  • Liaise with statutory bodies for periodic inspections and NOC renewals.
     
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly fire safety reports for client and G4S management.
     

4. Emergency Preparedness & Response

  • Act as Incident Commander during any fire/emergency until relieved by civil authorities.
     
  • Oversee emergency evacuations, ensuring safe and quick clearance of occupants.
     
  • Coordinate directly with local fire brigade, ambulance services, and other emergency responders.
     
  • Investigate fire incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
     

5. Equipment & Infrastructure Maintenance

  • Oversee inspection, testing, and maintenance of all firefighting and fire detection systems (hydrants, sprinklers, alarms, extinguishers, fire pumps, control panels).
     
  • Approve and monitor preventive maintenance schedules.
     
  • Ensure adequate stock of firefighting consumables and PPE.
     

6. Training & Awareness

  • Plan and conduct site-wide fire drills, evacuation exercises, and mock emergency scenarios at least once every quarter.
     
  • Deliver toolbox talks and awareness sessions to employees, contractors, and visitors.
     
  • Train the fire safety team in advanced firefighting techniques, rescue operations, and use of breathing apparatus.
     

 


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: Graduate in any discipline with Diploma / Advanced Diploma in Fire & Industrial Safety from a recognized institute or Ex-Service men 
     
  • Preferred Certifications:
     

    • State Fire Service Certification
       
    • NEBOSH / IOSH Safety Certification (desirable)
       
    • First Aid & CPR Certification
       

  • Experience: Ex-Service Men 

 


Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong leadership and decision-making ability during crises.
     
  • In-depth knowledge of firefighting systems, emergency response protocols, and safety legislations.
     
  • Proficiency in preparing reports, SOPs, and safety audits.
     
  • Ability to train and motivate multi-level fire safety teams.
     
  • Good communication skills in English, Hindi, and local language.
     
  • Physically fit, alert, and capable of managing extended emergency operations.
     

 


Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

  • On-site presence with rotational shift oversight as per client operations.
     
  • Exposure to high-risk zones during inspections and emergencies.
     
  • Requires physical agility to lead firefighting operations when needed.
     
  • Must remain reachable and on-call 24×7 for emergencies.
     

 


Employment Terms:

  • Employer: G4S Secure Solutions India Pvt. Ltd.
     
  • Deployment: At client’s site (industrial, IT parks, commercial complexes, hospitals, manufacturing units, etc.)
     
  • Uniform & Equipment: Provided by G4S
     
  • Remuneration: As per industry standards and seniority level
     
  • Contract Type: Full-Time / Contractual based on client agreement
