COMPLIANCE OFFICER

 

Salary: £35,000 -  £40,000 per annum

Working Hours: Permanent, Full Time, 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday between the hours of 8am and 5pm

Location: Home Based with travel around sites in London

 

G4S Facilities Management is looking for an experienced Compliance Manager to support the Contract Management team as required, working closely with Compliance teams, Health and Safety teams, Suppliers and Sub Contractors to ensure compliant delivery.

 

This full time, permanent role is working Monday to Friday, predominantly home based but requires the successful candidate to travel to sites predominantly in and around London, although travel may include the entire PFI portfolio as each Officer is required to understand the other sites and also audit them. 

 

The successful candidate will ideally have experience in areas such as statutory compliance, facilities management, technical compliance, building services, engineering compliance or property compliance.


 

Key Responsibilities

  • Statutory Compliance & Auditing: Deliver risk-based compliance audits, site inspections, and documentation reviews to ensure statutory, client, and internal compliance. Produce audit reports, identify non-compliances, and monitor corrective actions to completion.</p>

  • Compliance Administration & Reporting: Maintain statutory compliance records, certification, and CAFM data. Track remedial actions, monitor compliance performance, and produce compliance reports and management information.</p>

  • Risk & Health & Safety: Support OH&S initiatives, coordinate Permit to Work processes, assist with incident investigations, and identify compliance risks to drive corrective actions.</p>

  • Legislation & Standards: Monitor changes to statutory legislation, ACOPs, SFG20, and industry standards, ensuring policies and operational practices remain compliant.</p>

  • Quality Assurance & Improvement: Conduct independent compliance and ISO audits, identify recurring risks, and support continuous improvement through audit findings and process enhancements.</p>

  • Stakeholder Coordination: Work collaboratively with operational teams, subcontractors, and clients to obtain compliance evidence, resolve documentation issues, and progress actions through monthly compliance reviews.

  • Training & Compliance Support: Coordinate statutory and mandatory training requirements, maintain training records, and promote compliance awareness across operational teams.</p>


Essential

  • A solid background in a related field, such as Facilities Management, statutory or technical compliance, building services, engineering, or property compliance

  • Proven experience reviewing statutory compliance documentation, industry certifications, and maintenance records to ensure full regulatory adherence. 

  • Proven experience managing compliance trackers, overseeing remedial actions, and executing robust compliance administration 

  • Proven experience in planning and delivering statutory compliance audits and quality assurance activities. 

  • Deep understanding of key statutory compliance frameworks, with specific expertise in areas including Fire, Electrical, Gas, Water Hygiene, LOLER, and PSSR.

  • Proven experience assessing organizational compliance against relevant legislation, Approved Codes of Practice (ACOPs), and established industry standards. 

  • Ability to produce clear, evidence-based audit reports and effectively communicate findings to a variety of stakeholders.


 

Desireable 

  • Experience working within complex environments such as PFI, healthcare, education, public sector FM.

  • Professional qualifications (e.g., ISO Lead Auditor, NEBOSH, IOSH).

  • Experience using CAFM systems.

  • Experience contributing to audit planning.

  • Experience supporting the identification and coordination of statutory and mandatory training requirements.
