We are currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity, to join a modern corporate site as a Security Manager!

Contract Information:

Hours per week - 45
Shift pattern - Monday to Friday
Pay Rate - £67,500 per annum
Location - Waterloo 
SIA License - Door Supervisor or Security Guarding
Experience Level - 2 years or more in a Security Management role, in a corporate environment

Your Time at Work

The Security Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and
overseeing the entire security strategy to protect people, property, information, and operations
within the high-end corporate building. This role ensures compliance with relevant legislation,
strategically manages security personnel and systems, and leads all major incident response
and risk reduction initiatives across the site. The Manager is the direct line manager for the
Security & Customer Service Excellence Lead and the wider security team, ensuring exemplary
professional standards and superior customer experience are delivered in line with client
expectations.

Security Strategy & Operations

- Develop and implement the strategic security plan, ensuring alignment
with client expectations and the corporate environment.
- Lead and manage all daily security operations across the site, focusing on strategic
oversight, efficiency, and resource allocation.
- Directly supervise, mentor, and provide strategic guidance to the Security & Customer
Service Excellence Lead and all security staff.
- Develop, maintain, and rigorously enforce site-specific security procedures, protocols,
and emergency response plans.
- Oversee the effective operation and strategic deployment of access control, CCTV,
alarm systems, and visitor management processes, ensuring a professional tenant and
visitor journey.

Risk Management & Compliance

- Conduct regular, comprehensive risk assessments and security audits to proactively
identify vulnerabilities and implement robust mitigation strategies across the building.
- Ensure strict compliance with all relevant laws (e.g., SIA, Data Protection) and industry
best practices for a multi-tenanted London corporate environment.
- Prepare and maintain detailed documentation for audits, investigations, and regulatory
requirements.
- Manage business continuity and emergency response planning in collaboration with the
Facilities Management and client teams.
- Act as the first point of contact for all tenants' own security liaisons and representatives.

Incident Management & Investigations

- Act as the primary senior point of contact and final escalation for all security incidents
and breaches.
- Lead and manage detailed investigations into all security breaches, theft, workplace
violence, and safety concerns, producing final incident reports and leading corrective
action plans.
- Liaise professionally with law enforcement, emergency services, and external partners
when required, representing the client and the organisation.

Leadership & People Management

- Lead the recruitment, induction, training, mentoring, and performance evaluation of the
entire security team, including the Security & Customer Service Excellence Lead.
- Oversee the administration, scheduling, and payroll process for the team, delegating
day-to-day tasks to the Security & Customer Service Excellence Lead.
- Deliver security awareness training for employees and leadership teams.
- Foster a high-performance culture of safety, superior customer service, accountability,
and continuous professional development.
- Maintain flexibility in working hours (e.g., occasional early start or late finish) to facilitate
effective handover, liaison, the conducting of regular team welfare meetings, and
operational check-ups with the night shift security teams.

Cross-Functional & Client Collaboration

- Serve as the primary security liaison and strategic partner for the client, Head of
Facilities, and all on-site service partners (e.g., Front of House, Housekeeping,
Engineering).
- Actively participate in high-level client and site partner meetings to ensure security is
integrated into all building operations and service delivery.
- Maintain the highest standards of professionalism and communication to protect the
client's corporate reputation and enhance tenant satisfaction and retention.

Technology & Systems

- Strategically maintain, manage, and plan for the upgrade of all site security technology
infrastructure (CCTV, access control, VMS).
- Manage relationships with security technology contractors to ensure robust physical
security system integration and functionality.
- Evaluate new security technologies and solutions to enhance operational effectiveness

Our Perfect Worker

Essential

- Proven, senior-level experience in a Security Management or Head of Security role.
- Deep knowledge of security principles, strategic risk management, and leading complex
incident response operations.
- Demonstrable experience in successfully managing large teams, including supervisory
staff, and effectively managing external stakeholders and service partners.
- Exceptional communication, strategic problem-solving, and decisive decision-making
abilities.

Preferred

- Experience working within a multi-tenanted corporate building in the London area.
- Experience with a range of modern security and building management systems (CCTV,
access control, VMS).
- A professional background in corporate security, law enforcement, or a related field with
a demonstrably strong service culture
