Birmingham is a key location for G4S Events, and Warwickshire County Cricket Club is a valued partner, who we are proud to have worked with for many years, providing both year-round and match-day security services at the city's high profile cricket ground. Edgbaston Stadium is a regular host of major domestic and international male and female cricket, and is known across the globe for world-class cricket. It is home to Warwickshire County Cricket Club and its T20 team Birmingham Bears.
Edgbaston has also been the venue for Test matches, One-Day Internationals and Twenty20 Internationals. With permanent seating for approximately 25,000 spectators, it was the home of cricket for the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games, where it hosted the first women’s T20 event and this year they are playing host to Warwickshire Women, Birmingham Phoenix Women, as well as England vs India women one day match.
We are looking to recruit additionalCustomer Service Representatives, to join our current team working at Edgbaston Stadium and other events in Birmingham and The Midlands.. You will be part of a team ensuring that some of the UK and the world's biggest events run in a safe, secure way, ensuring that everyone has a first class experience. Please note that you must have a minimum of 12 months customer service experience, in any industry to be considered for this vacancy.
Our Customer Service Representatives provide a visible reminder that safety is our number one priority for visitors and staff. Which means you could be inside or outside, on your feet showing people where to go, checking tickets at entry, monitoring the crowd and managing the car parking facilities. Wherever you are, you’ll be the fun, helpful and friendly face representing the event.
Duties will include:
Carrying out pre and post event safety checks ensuring compliance with safe working procedures.
Greeting, assisting and directing visitors attending the event.
Ensuring that no prohibited or restricted items are taken into the secured zones within the venues.
Monitoring visitor / crowd movements and behavior to identify potential issues or incidents and to take action as necessary.

You will be employed on a casual basis meaning you can work as many events as you like and make extra income at weekends or in the evenings. You must have a minimum of 12 months customer service experience, in any industry, and we'll give you bespoke training for working at events - applicants holding their Level 2 in Spectator Safety (or above) are preferred but not essential, however, you must be willing to go through the funded training once on board.
