Employee Engagement Officer/Area Operations Controller (Night Shift)
Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive individual to join our team as a Night Shift Employee Engagement Officer/AREA Operations Controller (AOC). This essential role acts as an extension of the daytime AOC function, providing crucial out-of-hours support and ensuring operational compliance and employee welfare across our estate during night shifts.
This role operates on a four nights on, four nights off rotation and will be exclusively for night shifts.
Key Responsibilities
Area Operations Controller Functions (Out of Hours)
Escalation Management: Receive and manage all out-of-hours escalation calls, providing prompt and effective resolution or communication.
Scheduling Continuation: Continue any outstanding or urgent scheduling tasks and adjustments carried over from the day shift to ensure seamless shift coverage.
Compliance Monitoring: Diligently chase up any missed check-calls from security personnel to ensure complete compliance with operational procedures.
Employee Engagement and Welfare
The primary focus between 23:00 and 06:00 will be on estate visits and direct employee engagement.
Welfare Checks: Complete scheduled welfare and compliance checks across the estate, ensuring the well-being of all night staff.
On-site Training: Conduct any outstanding or mandatory training sessions with security guards during welfare visits.
Process Assurance: Verify that all operational processes and standard procedures are being carried out correctly and to 100% compliance during all welfare visits.
Essential Requirements
Driving License: A full driving license is essential due to the nature of the night-time travel required.
Working Pattern: Must be available and committed to a four-on, four-off rotation of all night shifts.
IT Proficiency: A good understanding and demonstrable ability to use multiple IT systems concurrently is required for administrative and operational tasks.
Desirable Qualifications
SIA License: Current SIA License is preferred. Candidates without a license must be willing to achieve one within the first three months of starting the role.

Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be a dependable, proactive, and responsible individual who is comfortable working independently during night hours. You must be approachable and possess strong interpersonal skills to engage effectively with staff across various sites. The ability to maintain 100% compliance and accurate record-keeping during all welfare visits is non-negotiable.You will need to provide us with your 5 year employment history and have unrestricted right to work in the UK for screening purposes. A criminal record will not necessarily be a bar to obtaining a position.
